Anne I did wonder the same, there seemed to be an awfully quick retraction of the original transcript and I wondered whether there have been lawyers throwing writs around behind the scenes. Having said that I was agog that anyone would be stupid enough to use eugenics to try and prove a point but who knows? Biggins is viewed as a 'national treasure' and I bet he has a fair bit of clout in the entertainment industry.
It's not as if that industry doesn't have form for covering up disgusting and repellent behaviour and opinions after all .....
