Thought this was gripping and the characters feel real. Just hope nothing happens to that poor boy! The only odd bit was the glimpses of the woman walking through the streets in what looked like her knickers! Even if she was meant to be a prostitute, surely she would have been arrested. ....

Meh - we gave it 20 mins then binned it. Too Dickensian.

Loving it, fab cast.

I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to next week.

Clear as mud, but I'm going to persist. It took me all programme to figure out that Vicky McClure was actually married to Toby Jones. And that the business was porn (it was, wasn't it?). And I've no idea why the mother left. Or why The Prof was walking around with a bomb on his person.

I also got the impression (though I hope I'm wrong) that the boy was being used as a stooge. Otherwise what was the motivation for taking him with him?

I enjoyed it. Was a little bit confusing at times and I thought Vicky McClure has too modern a face for a period drama. Which is stupid of me to think that really, there's no such thing as a period face but still, this was the one thing that niggled me about it.

fairy I thought the same about Vicky McClure. I can't disentangle her character from Line of Duty. Her voice and accent is exactly the same. Odd. Now Toby Jones' face....a "character" face if ever there was one!

She was sooo good in Line of Duty, wants she. And yes, Toby Jones has one of those faces, he's also great in pretty much everything he does.

I am a fan of them both - and I had a teen crush on Ian Hart who is always really good. I saw home in a drama about taking E and it is still one of those 'youth culture' defines for my early life.

Found it pretty compelling, and really didn't expect that ending. Very good acting.

Oh dear. I thought the last episode was awful. The acting was great but I thought the production was stilted. the 2nd episode had picked up a lot, I expected more from the final but we were a wee but bored :(

I really enjoyed it. I was surprised by the ending (although not by Ossipon's behaviour towards Winnie).

The book of the Secret Agent is free on Kindle so I downloaded it today. Looks interesting.
