Danish drama called Dicte?

Did I imagine this? I could have sworn i saw a trailer for a new Danish drama a couple of weeks ago called something like Dicte.. I think it was about a female Journalist/ reporter.

I'm starting to think i'm going mad. Cannot find any reference to it anywhere now. I'm pretty sure it was going to start either Friday or Saturday night a couple of weeks ago.
Has anyone heard anything about this?

DH and I watched the first episode a couple of weeks ago - it was on a Friday I seem to remember. You didn't really miss much - it was pretty poor. Very hammy acting, absurd and unbelievable storyline. We didn't bother watching out for it again the following week...

Ah thanks tkband. What a shame. I love me a Scandi drama. At least i know i wasn't going mad though. Smile

It's on C4

We've been watching it and marvelling at the fact that in a large city there is only one policeman who is involved in solving every crime and one midwife who happens to be Dicte's best friend.

I liked it. Confused

4catsaremylife · 22/06/2016 02:23

Dicte is also available on All4 (4OD) I've rewarded myself the last 3 nights by catching up on the past episodes :)

I think it's great actually.

ThingWithFeathers · 22/06/2016 14:05

Very implausible but very enjoyable.

Northernpowerhouse · 22/06/2016 15:36

I liked it too. just planning to watch episode 2 tonight.

DramaAlpaca · 22/06/2016 15:38

I've seen the first one. The plot was a bit silly, but I enjoyed it. I'll watch the other episodes.

penisbeakerlaminateflooringetc · 22/06/2016 15:41

It's not a big city though, it's a small town?

RoosterCogburn · 22/06/2016 17:31

It's set in Aarhus which is the second largest city in Denmark

petitpois55 · 23/06/2016 12:35

I've really enjoyed this so far and will stick with it.

Is there a way to watch it without the adverts?

loveisagirlnameddaisy · 25/06/2016 20:11

I find it really watchable and love the language. Makes me want to live in a scandi country....

petitpois55 · 28/06/2016 10:35

Visited Copenhagen recently. Loved it. i really love how the language sounds, though I don't understand 99% of it. it. found the people very welcoming and helpful, and all spoke perfect English of course..

Is this the way Ch4 are doing things now? Pilot gets screened then you have to watch the rest (binge style?) on 4OD. That way they get your attention throughout the adverts because you can't fast forward as you can on catchup.

juneau · 29/06/2016 13:07

Lizzie I'm really frustrated with that too. They say you can catch up on 4OD I assumed that meant I could download it from my SKY box, but no, I could only find it online, which means watching it on my computer at my desk and then the fucking interminable adverts that you can't FF. Argh! Gave up on the Polish drama 'The Border', because of it.

Kwirrell · 02/07/2016 14:32

I do watch it, but it is such tosh. Last week they pulled a baby from the river, soaking wet in a muddy blanket. Before the detective got out of the water it had miraculously gained a pure white one,

puppydogmummy · 04/07/2016 20:28

Just finished last epidode I really got into it!!!! DH on the other hand thought it was crap
