Can anyone briefly fill me in? Anything I need to know other than what's becoming obvious already?

First part showed Lea and her friend getting ready for their night out. They went to see their dads at the cafe and then met a large group of friends and went to concert and club. She was shown enjoying herself. Going to watch part 2 now.

Hmm thanks, so basically nothing outstanding, do we know how many episodes this is? So far neither Gallic nor Noir enough.

I'm going to watch this tomorrow. I'll report back ...

Glad someones started a thread. We enjoyed this. Lea also got a brown paper package whilst leaving her dad's restaurant. There was also perceived tension between Lea, the lad who delivered the package ( he works for her dad ) and his girlfriend.

I think her dad is involved in some dodgy drug stuff because he emptied her stash secretly and kept it from the mother.

I actually found this hard to watch, because let's face it, it's every parent's nightmare.

It's in 8 parts, we'll watch it in the absence of anything Scandi

Had to at the oh-so-cool French parents telling their 17-y-o (only just 17; it was her birthday) that she could be home by 3:30 but 4:00 was too late. The whole household apart from the little girl was up and strolling around in the small hours...maybe it's a French thing?

I enjoyed it. There were a few inconsistencies, but on the whole, I thought it was gripping drama. It is every parents's nightmare, especially as it seems their daughter had a whole secret life they knew nothing about. I wonder if the policeman will show more empathy, given he has a daughter in or arounf the same age, perhaps slightly younger? The shallow part of me also felt envious of the effortless French style and beauty.

Well so far this is reminiscent of the Killing S1 but without any of the tension...but that last scene! Uh-oh...

We really enjoyed it - relatively low key build up through E1, then building characters and plot lines in E2.
I know what you mean about not noir enough, but made a change and in way the characters seemed more real than some webcome across in the BBC4 Saturday night subtitled slot

What made the police jump to the conclusion that the dad was unusually close to Lea ?

They were looking for a motive because he lied about his whereabouts after the poker game.

Not seen E2 yet but agree with wondering how French women and girls manage to be so apparently effortlessly graceful and beautiful. Maybe they just refuse to show any fat or plain people in their films though.
I wondered if dad was having an affair at the end. Early on I thought Lea's parents were separated with the dad trying to score points off the mum like that.
Surprised Lea managed to get a tattoo without a parent present, although googled it and saw there is no legal minimum age.

Well, just watched 1&2 back to back...loved it for the Lyon cafe scenes (and now SO want a fag and a glass of Pernod or something) and because of that and despite the improbable plot -girl discovers a rare ta.ent for driving & funds it through becoming a drug pusher, perhaps?- I'll continue.
Besides, I just love the little girl, Zoe is it?. Deffo want to see more of her

Just catching up from Saturday. A great program, very French and in beautiful Lyon. The story reminds me of the Killing but less Noir and less rain, a welcome feature. It is very watchable and the lines of suspects are already lining up. The little girl is adorable and what fabulous hair!

I'm really enjoying it. I want to know what the brother and his girlfriend have got to hide though?

I find the little girl irritating and think the parents are amazingly patient with her. I'd have farmed her off to granny by now.

Friend's dad is definitely acting strangely. If one of my kids' friends went missing I'd be doing anything to help not getting stroppy because they were asking my child who was one of the last people to see them awkward questions.
I don't get the dad chucking away the cocaine. That might give a clue as to who she had got it from. I'd be worried for the safety of my child and wanting them back asap not worrying about whether their druggie tendencies might come out and reflect badly on me.
The brother lying makes no sense either. OK it's a drama and they want to drag it out but it is daft. Who cares whether or not she was racing cars without permission if she may be dead.

And that man is her uncle.

Watched the two episodes last night, reasonable way to pass the time especially the setting of Lyon.

Lea has obviously been getting money some how to pay for the driving (despite the lessons being half price because of her talent), ?prostitution of some kind given that one of the van prostitutes seems to recognise her.

Who were the band at the concert?
Is the series being shown as two episodes a week?

Also watched the 2 episodes - did I miss what was in the brown package she was given in ep 1? I assumed it was drugs and she was selling these to get money to pay for the lessons (same as the drugs the dad found)?

Like the setting of Lyons too. Wonder what the brothers girlfriend is hiding...he doesn't seem too concerned about his sister either, well not as much as you would expect. And thought ridiculous dad would keep up his cover story for so long when his daughter was missing - you think that would eclipse everything, but I guess as he knew he was innocent he didn't see the need to be honest (assuming he is)...
