ive had a problem child,i woldnt say as bad but then again assaulted me and would try and trash the house etc

but i stood up to him and he knew school was non negotiable so funnily didnt have a problem with that

i do feel they pander to them but i also understand sometimes you want a quiet life and will give in

ive seen Marsell in another programme

its a tough one

I am trying to be neutral when watching this as I don't have a good knowledge of Aspergers... but I find Marcell very very frightening. Surely there should be more support in place?

When I say I can't imagine, I'm not saying that smugly. My only child is 11 months old at the moment!

I think Marcel's mum is really strong and does seem to deal with him as well as possible. Feel for her and his sister. And Marcel too, he seems really lovely until he suddenly isn't.

my big concern would be what their behaviour would be like as adults,there is no way once an adult their behaviour wouldn't have a serious consequence

If I had a kid like Marcel I'd have to put him into care. I wouldn't put up with that shit from anyone, let alone my own child.

I watched it thinking of my BIL, who at 40, still rules his family with their fear of his temper. Mentioned to DH that the whole 'centre point of the family' thing reminded me of his brother, but at least he wasn't violent. Except it turns out he was as a teen.

Feel quite upset knowing he assaulted my MiL, regardless of how long ago.

I have made this all about me! Sorry about that.

I always knew he had a temper and still held them hostage with it, but even then it's a surprise to hear that he hit his own mother. No wonder she's scared to tackle him about how he treats her now.
