ugh. I hate it when they say 'check on baby'. i don't know why, I find it twee. Check on the baby, check on your baby, o.k. Check on baby, i find odd.

She's probably underage, which explains why she seems so naive.

15 my arse - early 30s more like

Raahh · 21/09/2016 13:57

Bingo!!

OP posts:
Raahh · 21/09/2016 13:59

she's like the opposite of the consultant- she looks way older than that.

See, by not telling them, the kids now have a very rose tinted view of their abusive alcoholic dad. I can understand why she didn't tell them though- sometimes time runs away before you get chance

Poor Sid, I bet he wishes he had just gone home on time!

OP posts:

Please let her go.

She has told you the truth!

How unlucky to be pregnant and not have the part time midwife who's always there around to look after her!

Though Sid was getting lucky there with the consultant.

Poor rhuma, how awful to have your baby harmed by his father Sad

AnneEyhtMeyer · 21/09/2016 18:34

I wondered if this is the start of a "radicalisation" storyline. The other day the son was on about his sister should wear a head covering out of respect for her uncle. Today he is disbelieving his mum's version of his dad's behaviour.

I have a feeling we are going to have to suffer watching his excruciatingly bad acting as he joins up with his bad dad and stumbles through a "topical" storyline, so beloved of the Doctors scriptwriters, so loathed by us. When will they ever learn that we prefer the WTF storylines

blamethecat · 21/09/2016 19:11

Today was a bit rubbish. It took the girl and her dad a while to ask where the baby was and if she was OK.

When O. Was born they took him to be checked by 'the baby doctor' if I hadn't been so exhausted I think my eyes might have rolled out my head.

I wondered if this is the start of a "radicalisation" storyline.

I've got a horrible feeling that you are probably right Sad

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeG0es · 22/09/2016 13:59

I haven't watched for months, nothing much seems to have changed....

Raahh · 22/09/2016 14:12

She won't go away!

I think val will be back

cinnamongreyhound · 22/09/2016 16:30

Oh no!! She's going to come back!!!!!!

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeG0es · 22/09/2016 17:48

Gah, just as I come back so does Val Sad

cinnamongreyhound · 22/09/2016 18:26

Don't worry she's only been gone 3 days Angry

TopazBurns · 22/09/2016 19:58

Why was Alia so smiley when her mum agreed that they could see her father? You'd think she would be a bit wary to say the least.

I noticed her name in the credits today is Mandy Thandi. I like the rhyming name.

blamethecat · 23/09/2016 14:17

I know she's not popular but I did feel sorry for Rhuma. Heston's disguise was brilliant and only he would have a handy pair of opera glasses for a bit of covert spying. Grin think it was obvious he wouldn't show buy this isn't the end of the story is it ?
