AitchTwoOhOhSeven · 10/01/2007 23:54

AitchTwoOhOhSeven · 10/01/2007 23:55

although am watching corrie...

RTKangaMummy · 10/01/2007 23:56

Why is he adorable?

What question would you want to ask him if you could?

OP posts:
AitchTwoOhOhSeven · 10/01/2007 23:57

when are you coming home and what are you drinking? (he went to my school)

RTKangaMummy · 10/01/2007 23:59

Where did you go to school?

Do you still see him ?

OP posts:
AitchTwoOhOhSeven · 11/01/2007 00:01

glasgow. no, i used to see him knocking about and say hello but he's a bit older than me. to me he's always been famous, iykwim? so when we were in school he was known for being clever and funny and a bit of a cool guy.

sunnywong · 11/01/2007 00:02

responsible for many of British Comedy's finest moments was he not?

RTKangaMummy · 11/01/2007 00:03

I am organizing an evening with him later this year.

like the "AN EVENING WITH .............." on TV

OP posts:
AitchTwoOhOhSeven · 11/01/2007 17:53

so do you find him funny, more to the point?

beansprout · 11/01/2007 17:56

I think he can be a tad hit and miss but is still head and shoulders above most satirists out there. Anyone who has been responsible for Alan Partridge AND The Thick of It must be a genius.

Marina · 11/01/2007 18:07

I think he is brilliant. I do think he is better behind the scenes - not a natural performer on TV.
The Thick of It is disgustingly funny in the true sense of the words. Peter Capaldi had me gnawing the sofa cushions in guilty mirth.
And he has been the brains behind a lot of really sharp comedy in recent years (Brass Eye etc).
He was a major looker in his younger days wasn't he Aitch? We first saw him YEARS ago when he was producing a stand-up show for BSB.

Marina · 11/01/2007 18:08

I would just sit at his feet and look at him adoringly

Booboobedoo · 11/01/2007 18:10

He's a National Treasure IMO.

bundle · 11/01/2007 18:10

dh made a programme about him, so we are the lucky recipients of much of his back catalogue on cd/dvd

AitchTwoOhOhSeven · 11/01/2007 18:24

was that the SBS, bundle? it was a good programme, i thought.

Marina · 11/01/2007 18:51

Another reason for me to narrow my eyes at bundy

RTKangaMummy · 11/01/2007 19:15

Has anyone got any burning questions for him?

OP posts:
Marina · 12/01/2007 09:29

Can you ditch the wife is as insightful as you'd get from me
I will ask dh, who admires AI without wanting to jump his bones in the slightest.

AitchTwoOhOhSeven · 12/01/2007 11:20

pmsl marina.
no, rtkanga, ask him 'can you ditch the wife, walk right past marina and choose aitch please?'

Marina · 12/01/2007 11:29

His wife sounds like a no good minx par excellence to me
I think you did the right thing though Pamina. Even modest slebs like AI like to be appreciated for their work (and their big Italian/Glaswegian brown eyes etc)
RTKM, ask him if he will come on here for a Live Leer session

Anchovy · 12/01/2007 11:40

He did the same subject in the same year at University as me. Was not a looker in those days, methinks.

Marina · 12/01/2007 12:22

Must have been a well-chosen snap they used then anchovy
He has a gorgeous mind at least

RTKangaMummy · 12/01/2007 12:23

You guys are sooooooo funny

OP posts:
RTKangaMummy · 12/01/2007 12:39

Sorry that was horrible of me

I just don't find him attractive to look at
