He's doing a documentary on alcohol addiction on Sunday, bbc2 at 9pm.
It's a subject I'm close to, looking forward to watching it. Anybody else?

I saw this advertised and will be watching.

daisywhoopsie · 21/04/2016 21:16

Thanks for the heads up. Looking forward to it!

ShatnersBassoon · 21/04/2016 21:20

I'm looking forward to it too. I'm in love with Louis. He's magical. I believe I'd tell him absolutely anything if he spoke to me.

RedMapleLeaf · 21/04/2016 21:23

Hands off Louis, I saw him first.

PotteringAlong · 21/04/2016 21:24

Just seen it; set it to record.

ShatnersBassoon · 21/04/2016 21:24

I went to nursery with him, so technically, I saw him first.

That is not true

WonderingAspie · 21/04/2016 22:06

Will be watching. Love his documentaries.

Roseberrry · 22/04/2016 07:53

Me too Shatner and I'm not really a talker! He has a certain way about him.
Apparently he's got a Scientology one coming out soon too, that will be v interesting.

Oooh that's great, thanks for posting.

Love, love, love Louis. I've been watching the old ones on Netflix.

MoonriseKingdom · 22/04/2016 09:44

I love Louis too! I was very impressed by his documentary on dementia.

He was on radio 4 about a month ago. He mentioned making a new documentary about Jimmy Savile.

Roseberrry · 22/04/2016 10:05

I've not seen the dementia one, will try and find it. I'd heard about the saville one, I would be interested to watch that. I watched the one with Saville done in the early 00's, he was horrible! I got the impression Louis admired him at first but soon got to see the real Saville. Didn't he report him to the police?

Don't watch the dementia one if you are felling fragile though. There is a woman with early onset dementia and her wonderful husband - it made me cry.

I remember watching the original Jimmy Savile one - I think Louis thought it would be fun like Paul Daniels/ Debbie Magee and the Hamiltons but it quickly got quite dark and creepy. I notice it's not on Netflix with the other old ones.

SharonSignsToCherryRed · 22/04/2016 10:21

My husband used to look just like him. To the point people would ask him if he was him when we were out. Glad I'm a big Louis fan. :)

Maudd · 22/04/2016 10:25

My DD was working at the hospital where this Sunday's documentary was filmed, and she said Louis was always really lovely, very friendly and down-to-earth.

weirdsister · 22/04/2016 10:32

Louis Theroux is amazing in the way that he manages to show the truth of a situation without ever descending into cliche. He's incredibly skilled at what he does. Love him.

HerdOfRhino · 22/04/2016 14:25

Oh, I like him as well!

I don't think I'll watch this one, as the subject is a little bit too close to home for me. I'll definitely be watching the Scientology one though.

Roseberrry · 22/04/2016 14:51

Same here Rhino, I expect I'll cry but will watch anyway!

That's good to hear Maudd, just what I expected Grin
