Why do policemen in TV programmes always seem to have chats with their colleagues that they want to keep really secret in the stairs? I noticed they did this in Happy Valley too.
It seems like the worst place (along with the loos) to have confidential chit chats...you don't know who may be up or down the stairs.
At least in the loos you can check the cubicles quickly.
They're policemen and, often, detectives. So why do they do something so stoopid?
