Vicar of Dibley ... so were all you other Richard Armitage/Guy of Gisburn fans glued to the set?

I was!
I love VoD, and am sad it's the very last one Though I do prefer the earlier programmes with less innuendo in them, and more jokes.

was that him!!!! God, I am a fan now - will have to watch Robin Hood again!

I loved that she got her guy in the end!

WhenSantaWentQuietlyMad · 26/12/2006 08:49

Absolutely! Are they releasing it on DVD?

BoingBoing · 26/12/2006 11:20

Too right. And DH went to bed early, so I had a very enjoyable swoon over the man...his jeans were a bit worn in parts I thought

foxtrottothefestivegrotto · 26/12/2006 11:21

isn't there another episode in a few days, roisin - the wedding?

JackieNoHoHo · 26/12/2006 11:37

Yes - there's a wedding episode soon, not sure when. Loved it.

FrostyTheSnowMarsLady · 26/12/2006 11:50

Yes!

SpicymulledSheraz · 26/12/2006 11:57

Wasn't it great. real Xmas treat esp Richard - swoon swoon!!

santasaltire · 26/12/2006 12:59

New years day is the last episode, and i shall bloody miss it as at PIL's "party"

AllieBeHomeForChristmas · 26/12/2006 13:00

i've never seen him before, but have now decided that i love him

BoingBoing · 26/12/2006 13:13

Join the legions of other women Allie, the man is a god! I suspect that's why Dawn French chose him, and also why VOD had the biggest audience share yesterday. Poor old Martin Clunes never stood a chance

Watched it this morning...I thought he was lovely in Robin Hood, but now I am getting all lusty

Can't wait for new year, but I suspect that all will not go well with the wedding... it never does in TV-Land does it?

trying2bgood · 26/12/2006 14:03

Love it too and he was so lovely in it! Swoon! I miss all that romance!

JollyOldSaintNikkielas · 26/12/2006 17:04

Wedding is on New years day.

roisin · 26/12/2006 18:28

If you think Richard Armitage is good in Vicar of Dibley and Robin Hood, you have got to get North and South DVD.

North and South - it is my most watched DVD ever. Wonderful adaptation and script, beautiful sets and costumes, fabulous acting, amazing innovative camera work, and of course Richard Armitage being all dark and broody.

If you haven't seen it you have missed a treat

Now how can I convince DH that I need an old BBC drama series

May have to keep an eye out for that one!

Mumpbump · 26/12/2006 21:55

God he is gorgeous! Very jealous of Dawn French getting to snog him. He was fab in North and South...

trying2bgood · 26/12/2006 22:19

yes loved north and south, he is very broody in it! It was his big break and I remember at the time the bbc got a flood of calls asking when the dvd was out! If they ever remake pride and prejudice for the tv, he would make a great darcy! However, I loved Colin as darcy so am torn about that comment!!!!!!!!!

AllieBeHomeForChristmas · 26/12/2006 22:35

i love him more than you all...

roisin · 26/12/2006 22:43

I've watched North and South so many times I know the script off by heart, as well as all the camera angles and shots!

I missed the whole of the Vicar of Dibley. Our power died as soon as the opening credits ran, and didnt come back for over an hour =( So upset to miss it.

BoingBoing · 27/12/2006 08:44

North & South!!! I love that DVD and it's now also my 'most watched'. Richard Armitage was even better than Colin Firth in P&P, which I never thought possible.

A · 27/12/2006 19:40

Apparently there is a Richard Armitage fan club (from an in-law who thinks he's fantastic...)

My ex bf who is a minor actor in Ireland looks really like RA except he has ice blue eyes. Nice bloke apart from the philandering and betrayal with one of my closest friends.
IMO goodlooking actors are lovely to look at but not great for realtionships.

danceswithreindeer · 27/12/2006 19:44

PHWOARH....sorry, was that too teenage...ahem...I really admire him as an actor...with no shirt on preferably....

Lucky, lucky, Dawn French
