It features Judge Rinder and Michelle doing a kind of tango with some gymnastics thrown in. It is odd and hilarious in equal measure.

Has anyone else seen it?

Yup. Its awkward. I love jr but I just cant watch it I cant watch people dancing sober anyway

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 18/01/2016 15:00

I love it - I was so hoping I wasn't the only one! It makes me laugh every time. I love how Michelle's coming out of her shell on the show a bit more now too - she's all side eye and cheeky smirks!

Headmelt · 18/01/2016 15:03

I saw it, it's a bit bizarre. Having said that, the programme is a bit bizarre too.

desperatehousewife21 · 19/01/2016 07:25

I love JR but I always think what made him go from being a serious lawyer to doing almost comic tv which no one takes seriously?

TALKING!

harryhausen · 19/01/2016 08:00

He has a great Radio 4 programme called Raising the Barr. He's very knowledgable but with a great delivery.

I see him as the professor Brian Cox of law, but wrapped up in an entertainment programme ;) I think he's wonderful!

Sparklingbrook · 19/01/2016 08:31

I can't hear a bad word about him he really is hilarious. I want him on MN as guest moderator in AIBU.

YY to Michelle bigging her part up lately.

iklboo · 19/01/2016 08:36

He's on my 'who would you have to dinner' list. I bet he's got some fab stories and would be very entertaining.

He still has a very successful law practice (I think international money laundering cases are his forte), but I think doing the TV show satisfies his flair for the dramatic Wink Apparently he's a lovely, lovely man in real life - I've spotted a few MNers who say they went to uni with him, and I've never heard a bad word. I'd love to meet him myself.

Isn't he Cumberbatch's BFF?

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 19/01/2016 09:52

Benadryl Cabbagepatch officiated at JR's wedding, and I think JR was his best man, or one of them.

Sparklingbrook · 19/01/2016 10:01

YY that was it.

The80sweregreat · 19/01/2016 10:14

I think he should do Strictly this year! I know nothing about dancing but he seems very co- ordinated.
I saw him on University challenge ( well, the last five minutes) over Christmas and he seemed a bit shy and totally different to how he is on his show.

Sparklingbrook · 19/01/2016 10:16

YY he would be good on Strictly. Not so much in the jungle, I can't see him liking that.

But I doubt he would do any reality TV. He's not desperate.

Boogers · 19/01/2016 10:30

I thought he was married to Benedict Cumberpatch's brother and Benedict officiated at their wedding? Don't mind either bloke personally, and like harryhausen said he's the Brian Cox of law. I might have watched the programme once or twice...! Smile

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 19/01/2016 10:38

He's married to a guy called Seth Cummings not that I've ever looked JR up online, oh no, not me

IPityThePontipines · 22/01/2016 00:05

Don't get me wrong, I love JR and agree the "Brian Cox of Law" tag is very apt, which is great as I think UK law is very poorly understood by many.

I would LOVE him to be on Strictly.

iklboo · 22/01/2016 14:07

He'd certainly give Craig a run for his money!

IPityThePontipines · 22/01/2016 16:18

I think the ad might be him setting out his stall for the Strictly producers.

PunkrockerGirl · 22/01/2016 16:20

I love JR and the ad is brilliant!

Shakey15000 · 22/01/2016 16:24

Arf at Benedryl Cabbagepatch, that's bloody genius Grin

I would love to have a drinking session with JR. I think I'd pass out laughing.

imwithspud · 22/01/2016 21:27

But I doubt he would do any reality TV. He's not desperate.

Not yet anyway, there's always a chance further down the line Grin

I love JR, he's fab. And hilarious. Blows Judge Judy out of the water, and Jeremy Kyle for that matter.

LIZS · 22/01/2016 21:32

Think the dance is great fun. However have got reservations about exploitation of people with MH and LD as well as gratuitous exposure for d list celebs. One case before Christmas had previously appeared on Neighbours from Hell.

Gunting · 22/01/2016 21:33

I bloody love JR and the ridiculous advert.

Have you seen the other Hmm advert on itv featuring JR, Bradley Walsh, Lorraine, eamon Holmes and Katie price in a hot air balloon? Wtaf?!
