Losing Gemma

Did anyone watch this last night? I missed the last fifteen mins, the bit where Esther ended up conked out on the beach. What did they do with Gemma?

She's sort of missing at the moment, but presumably with that weirdo Zac. Esther got taken into custody by the Indian Police, they took her to identify a body, which you think is going to be Gemma (remember when Esther snookered her and she fell and hit her bonce on the table?) The body turns out to be the equally weird Coral!! So one would assume that Zac has bumped her off so he can shack up with Gemma, and framed Esther for Coral's murder!

I didn't fancy this when I read about it in the TV listing, but it's turned out to be quite gripping and I will tune in for the second instalment tonight.

Thanks for the update. I will definitely watch the second instalment tonight. It did get good reviews in the paper. I think that the girl who plays Esther is Trevor Eve's daughter, I can't remember the programme he is in but her mother is Tricia in Holby City, the one who had cancer recently.

I watched it so I could see Robin Hood ride in and save the day.....thats tonight's episode where Jonas Armstrong who plays Robin Hood coems to save them I think

I watched this last night also not expecting much and was pleasantly suprised as it was enjoyable and gripping.
Am out tonight but currently am trying to find someone to record it for me so I can watch part 2

hmm, I wasn;t sure about this but have taped it. Maybe I will give it a go.

I've watched a few dramas recently on ITV1 which have been so much better than i have expected. Give it a go.

Anyone else think that Gemma looks like Kerry Katona? Especially when she had blonde hair.

Can anyone tell me what happened ? I was in work last night and dh forgot to record it for me.

Oh God, it was the biggest pile of crap I've ever seen. The acting was dreadful. Awful, awful, awful. And very predictable imo.

But what happened?

It was Gemma that killed Coral. Esther got let out of prison on bail and went with Steve (Gemma's ex) to try and find Gemma.

They tracked her down to where Zac was sort of holding her prisoner. But then she ran off rather than go with Esther. (I missed 5 mins about this point). But Zac came back to te house where they all were and he ended up getting pushed off the roof by Steve and was dead. Gemma had kind of wound him up to do it by saying Zac was hitting her.

So the police blame Zac for the murder of Coral and they are all told they can go back home. Police believe Zac's death was an accident. On way to the airport Esther realises that Zac can't have killed Coral, as Zac is left handed and the killer wasn't. So she realises it must be Gemma and confronts her. Gemma admits it but says that noone would ever believe Esther, etc. Esther says she's not going back to UK and gets out the cab and walks off. The end.

Has the actress who played Estehr been in something before?

Part 2 was a pile of &%$^%£"& !!!!!!!

couldn't put my finger on what Esther had been in before.

Was Gemma played by the girl out of extras?

The acting was horrendeous. Unwatchable.

Book was LOADS better ..

although I watched it - and thought it OK as a tv drama ... just in no way up to the books standard

mind you - that can be said about any book to TV(or Movie) adaptation IMHO.

Esther may seem familiar because she's the Daughter of Trevor Eve and the actresss who played Tricia in Holby City. God, wasn't she annoying though? The weird facial expressions and the way she kept saying "Gemmer Gemmer" all the time. I would have wanted to lamp her too.

Can someone tell me who the book is by? I only saw the second part last night and thought it was alright, but a bit predictable... Would be interested in reading the book to get the full story though. Ta muchly!
