I was a huge fan of back in time for dinner and loved the family.
Great they are back! Anyone else watching?

I'm watching! I like this family. Sobering to think of shortages/ rationing at Christmas from 1940 to 1954 - some children, that would be all they had ever known.

Never heard of Johnny 7

Lots of those 60s decs look familiar - they were still hanging around our decoration box in the late 70s/80s! I remember those kind of crepe paper strips and I wasn't born til 1975.

He got her a Hoover

Remember the chocolate cigarettes etc which were in my stocking every year but neither DH nor DB ever got a Johnny 7 - or had heard of one!

DH had heard of a Johnny Seven and was as excited about it as Brandon seemed to be.

Love this programme - second part tonight (Tuesday). Look forward to seeing the 70s Christmas

I didn't realise it was on last night. It seems to be the 1940s that I'm watching just now,though

I'd forgotten how much I loved this family

This is going to be a rather disjointed conversation autumnal since we are watching two different programmes
