Am trying to keep an open mind, but did anyone just see those twins on Vanessa?

Each to their own, obviously, but I think if I was their mum I might think I had done something 'wrong' (wait for onslaught!) in that they cannot live independently of each other. And sharing the same bed.....

I have seen similar before, I guess its hard to say how much you can blame the parenst without knowing more about their childhood. My twin girls get into bed with eachother all the time, am hoping they grow out of it soon!!

Fine for kids, no problem with that at all. These ones had never had any romantic relationship (as Vanessa put it) and 'weren't bothered'. Reminded me a bit of my sister tbh. Closeted and mollycoddled, shielded from any responsibility, driven here and there, all paperwork taken care of for her.....all the way into adulthood. Result = socially inept and backward.

I know some triplets (10 yrs) who go to bed in their own beds each night but the two boys usually end up in one bed by the morning.

every so often I see these two old ladies at Brent X shopping centre: they are identical twins and wear exactly the same clothes, exactly the same jewellery, same hairstyle, same shoes, bags - you name it , it is identical. They are at least 75 years old. How weird is that??

princessJINGLEmelS · 13/12/2006 13:46

I've seen a programme like that. They even married men with the same name and had kids at the same time etc. I'm a twin btw but not like these!!

I wonder if they are the same pair that were on children in need for the haircut thing. They lived together, dressed alike, even had the same jobs. They claimed never to argue and seemed very content. It seemed strange, but it was clearly making them happy.
I'd love to know what makes some twins so close. My older two are very close, but my twins don't really get on at all. dt2 can be quite cuddly and will try to climb into dt1's cot, but dt1 jsut screams the house down - he hates it!

My dts get along but other than their school uniform if I gave them the same things to wear they would refuse. The also hate it when someone mistakes them although they are not identical.

I think I know which women you mean, they were on another tv show, very - em, diplomatic answer here - homely looking. And rather creepy.

xmasplumtartmeistergeneral · 13/12/2006 14:34

I'm afraid to say they were a bit creepy looking, really, really old fashioned, looked about 60 but only 39. Giggled a lot. They said they had friends, but, this is terrible, I'm not entirely sure I believe them! Or, really odd friends.....
