New thread for more random chat about the jungle.

Make yourselves comfy and avoid the dunny.

Johnny Depp is on BBC1 now

ENtertainmentAppreciated · 27/11/2015 22:36

I've never thought a glass of champagne after such strict rations is a good idea, maybe Susannah's tee total, I don't know.

I'm pleased for Susannah that she go and have a perfumed bath, a hot shower, wash her hair and sleep in a lovely bed, not to mention getting proper food and clean laundry. She's got it made really.

I thought you could get the app on an ipad SW and then get five free votes.
It's in the itunes store.

sadwidow28 · 27/11/2015 22:37

No it isn't the same every year. Voting to evict/save is different and they do mix it up. But today I have been in the house (Ddog not well and raining) so I saw This Morning and Rylan's piece. I have already given the link to last night's programme.

Ofcom ruled on the Daniel Baldwin eviction in CBB when it wasn't clear from mixed messages whether it was save or evict. We had to apply for a refund for our votes or offer to give to a charity named by Channel 4.

Anyway, I have been left with a very sour taste tonight - and I was so enjoying the Mumsnet thread. I wouldn't have minded using £3.00 just to join in with the banter and voting. But I have been led to believe for 24hrs that we were voting to evict. That can't be changed when voting lines actually open.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 27/11/2015 22:38

Susanna was never going to win. She is TV wallpaper.

ENtertainmentAppreciated · 27/11/2015 22:38

Anne the guy on the end in the white shirt is Jake Quikenden(?) who was on last year. He's ex X Factor and got along really well with Carl Fogarty in the jungle. He was and probably still is going out with Carl's daughter.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 27/11/2015 22:39

CBB mixes it up. IACGOOH never does.

Really? I don't recognise him at all EN!

Mind you, I'm like an etch-a-sketch with contestants.

I really thought Yvette would go, I'm not a fan of Chris at all so would have been happy to see him go and he definitely said purple, the big liar.

Him and lady c are liars liars pants on fire people, I know, I sound like a five year old Grin

Bearbehind · 27/11/2015 22:44

I'm pretty sure there's a reason why there was no champagne for Susannah.

I'm willing to bet they'll be a glass of champagne for the next evictee,

PollyGone · 27/11/2015 22:47

Susannah was wild, back in the day. Used to be out on the town with Imran Khan. I doubt he's much fun anymore.

sadwidow28 · 27/11/2015 22:48

Well the official facebook site has gone mad! Most people (fans) on there are saying they were told to VOTE TO EVICT.

ENtertainmentAppreciated · 27/11/2015 22:49

I don't think he got all that far Anne because when he was brought on to IAC everyone was a bit Confused Just looked him up and he was on Series 9 and 11 too.

The other guy, who isn't Joe Swash seems to be a bandmember of Union J, the group George's from. They also came from X Factor where they finished fourth.

I only vote when it's free and can't recall voting to evict on IAC. I do know Big Brother are always manipulating results by swapping and changing from evict to save depending on who's nominated for eviction Hmm
Maybe Rylan got himself mixed up because he mainly works on BB?
That'd be Rylan, ex X Factor.
They're definitely fishing deep in that particular pool aren't they.

I thought Yvette would be gone tonight too.

clam · 27/11/2015 22:52

I'm afraid it is the same every year. I've always thought it should be the other way round and it annoys me, but it is definitely Vote to Save. And Ant & Dec make this clear when they're running through the telephone numbers too.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 27/11/2015 22:53

Honestly, it has always been vote to save on IACGMOOH. Always. Without fail. No big conspiracy.

Susanna, Yvette, George, Jorgie, they are all cannon-fodder. Matters not a jot when they go.

OP posts:
PunkrockerGirl · 27/11/2015 22:56

Yvette's getting on my nerves too. I mean I'm sure she's nice enough irl but she has the personality of a wooden fence panel, imo Confused

sadwidow28 · 27/11/2015 23:14

That is not true Anne.

I have picked a random year (2014)

Notes

^Note 1: As part of the Terror Tombs challenge the winners of this would gain immunity from the first elimination. The Galahs (Edwina, Jake, Kendra, Michael, Nadia and Vicki) won this and immunity.

^Note 2: The public were voting for who they wanted to win rather than TO SAVE

-----------------

Anyway, as I said before - I am left with a very sour taste after the ITV shenanigans today. I'm over-invested so I'll walk away from the programme now.

ENtertainmentAppreciated · 27/11/2015 23:18

The vote to WIN rather than to save was when it was down to the final two though.

The notes for 2014 on that link say

Results and elimination

Indicates that the celebrity was immune from the vote
Indicates that the celebrity received the most votes from the public
Indicates that the celebrity received the fewest votes and was eliminated immediately (no bottom two)
Indicates that the celebrity was named as being in the bottom two
AnneEyhtMeyer · 27/11/2015 23:18

That's the last vote of the series, i.e. the vote for the winner. It isn't proving your point at all. The last vote is always for the winner. Every other vote is vote to save.

I think you're misunderstanding the terminology used, sadwidow.

ENtertainmentAppreciated · 28/11/2015 00:00

I don't watch This Morning, so can't comment on what was said there and I know it's vote to save, but right at the end of the ITV show the new comedian in his solo piece to camera called it his 'first ever vote off' so I can see why it's not that clear to everyone.

clam · 28/11/2015 00:03

They've always referred to people as having been "voted off" but they just mean that's basically what's happened. It's not so much that they've been voted off, but just not voted to remain. End result is the same though.

although this is what happens when you have the likes of Rylan commenting on TV matters

ENtertainmentAppreciated · 28/11/2015 00:22

Like I said somewhere up above the way BB swaps and changes doesn't help, most other shows it's about voting for your favourites.

JAPAB · 28/11/2015 12:09

I've seen seven or eight previous series of IAC... and it has always been vote to save.

"Vote off" doesn't actually have to mean that the votes are directly for voting off. I've heard of such things as "dance off"s where the best dancer is picked.

And Chris definitely did say purple - extremely predictable that they will be playing the clip of him saying it to him when the time comes.

PhilPhilConnors · 28/11/2015 12:13

Ive just watched last night's episode.
I'm irrationally annoyed that Chris got it wrong but blamed Fern, and also annoyed that Fern has just accepted completely that she made a mistake.
Probably all been said, but I had to get that off my chest!
