It's always been vote to save. But the media present it as being least popular (not being voted for to stay) means you've been voted out, or effectively evicted.

It's always been vote to save rather than evict,that way the less interesting characters don't get kept in and also the people that lots of us hate don't get sent home, ITV obviously think it makes better telly.
