As much as I like Anita's dancing, for me IRL she's a bit of a personality vacuum, I have to say.

She's just so...blah...I really liked her Mum on the VT a while back, she seemed to have a bit of personality. Anita is just too earnest and lacking in any obvious sense of humour for me.

Loved Anita and Gleb at last they get the scores they have deserved, yes the keeping in performance mode face was a tad ott but its all part of the performance we actually applauded their dance here !
Jay was good but I am worrying he is slipping down the leaderboard , Joe Varney and Georgia another beautiful dance Helen looked like she had hurt herself after she tripped up the stairs had to laugh at Jeanette doing an Elvis impersonation up next to Claudia she was hilarious !Everyone really upped their game at Blackpool
I was never a huge Anita fan either, and I actually used to think she always looked like she had an eating disorder she was so thin and quite ill looking ,but watched her on who do you think you are and it was such a sad story about her family and she came over so well I have liked her ever since.

somepeople, did you see Anita on ITT? You really couldn't think she was lacking in a sense of humour if you did - especially the bit when she was messing around with a cape.

Erin left as she got married and wanted to start a family I think.

Gleb's choreography has been amazing in every show.

I'm watching for a second time with dd. Pete is actually worse than I remember.

Pete's all "the main thing is that I loved it." Dd (10) retorts "it's not about how much you love it!" It's great that even she can see through his bullshit.

Helen thanking the dancers was a bit cringey.

Even Tess with her bad jokes wasn't impressed with that one!

Just watching Strictly now and did anyone spot in Peters dance at around the 52 min mark of the show he looks like he slaps Janette on her cheek/face? Like it's part of the dance. What the fuck was that all about? it's after he does that cringey bit of pushing the camera out of the way and they start dancing together again. Could be a dodgy angle but it looks like it's in the routine.

I think that was just the camera angle Solitude, he was just moving his arm as part of the dance and it was quite a bit away from her face.

Watched again this am with dh. Spent the whole time saying to dh how is that 9 the same as Anita/Jay

Solitude just rewatched it and I think it is just a mistake, one of many he made, his hand is in the wrong place I think and gets close to her face.

If any other celebrity had danced that Jive they wouldn't have scored above a 7.

I think Helen did injure herself, I can't work out where or how but it becomes obvious at the steps at the end bit and when she comes back down the steps to the Judges she is almost bow legged trying to walk, Alijaz looks at her with concern when they are standing next to Tess. I wonder if that was why she was so out of sync with the dancers when they were on the top step.

It came soon after the lift where she sort of did the splits upsidown - I wonder if she pulled a muscle or something? (I would pull every muscle in my body if I even attempted the splits)

Kurri I wondered if it was more a leg/hip injury than a foot one due to the way she was walking afterwards so what you say makes sense, she also seemed to miss the bottom step when they went up them. I hope she's not badly injured.

Didn't she say the steps moved?

I'm feeling strangely apprehensive about the Results Show tonight and who will be in the Dance Off, I so want PA to be there and voted of because he was definitely the worst last night. I'm umming and aahing about Googling the spoiler thread.

I'm in two minds about the exults show. I think Jamelia should go as she is the worst of the ones who are left, but I would love her not to be in the dance off as she did a really great job this week.

I think my idea would be PA and A.N.Orher int eh Dance off with PA to go. I think he is in the next level of dancers to go.

I'm not sure about Helen, I've re-watched it and there was some lack of smoothness getting into that last lift (upside down splits) that looked as though it could have hurt. But, equally, she could have been a bit uncoordinated through tiredness, and tiredness could also have explained the trip on the stairs and being out of time with the backing dancers. She did look in pain when she was walking over to Tess, but by the time she jogged over to Claudia she was moving normally.

Soup it would be ideal if PA was against a dancer so much better than him so the judges had to vote him off.

I would like Jamelia not to be in the dance off, although as she was above PA if it is them two the judges would open a whole can of worms if they voted to keep him in as it is the dance done on the night, not how good they may or may not have been in previous weeks.

If it were Jamelia and Peter in the DO then surely there is no way they could keep Peter? - he had a lower score and his dance was crap because it wasn't a jive - it;s not like he can improve on that unless Jeanettte comes up with some lightening ad lib choreography that he can dance along with
Jamelia made a few slips - so she could improve int he dance off - whatever her merits or otherwise she did do a quickstep, she didn't just shimmy round the floor to quickstep music.

But we shall see - he probably won't be anywhere near the DO. But if he is I hope he's against someone like Georgia

That's true Kurri, the choreography just isn't there for Orange Pete, because he clearly can't flick or kick, and he should go even if he's up against Jamelia. I would LOVE it if he left (angry tears, I think, and a bit of passive-aggressive disappointment for his partner and how bad she must feel about her choreography), but the judges have been so blindly positive about him in every other week and I just can't imagine that they will kick him out.

I have a terrible feeling of dread that PA will escape the dance off due to his legions of fans voting for him and two much higher placed dancers will have to battle it out which would be a travesty. He should go he was bottom of the leaderboard and his dancing is not that great it is far too stompy with no finesse whatsoever.
