I can't help feeling the 4 Binbags have been given something they know inside out.

No less than 2 Mariah tracks- I think Anton might be in trouble - hear the comments already 'that was a very obvious choice there, Simon' etc. Simon is down to one act and pissed off.

Surprised by the James Bay choice, it's a nice song, but not that well known.

And only the other week, I said SpunkyMason looked liked Nick Jonas- spooky.

DD2 and are are both ill- but we will soldier on. I will be back with lemsip and cake later.

Wowza to Lauren. That was so good. I haven't had anyone else sing that song on a singing competition. She should have won a gown. That dress is not good.

Do they have to do 'dirty winning' and azonto every week with reggie and bollie? First bit was out of tune but it got better. Love their energy. I used to wonder how they would cope in the live shows. Seems like they have done well.

So to sum up feelings in our house:

Anton needs to LEAVE with his fakey fakey I AM NOT FAKE fakeness and peculiar facial expressions, which are pretty much all completely fake.

Mason is the most arrogant, deluded, dead-eyed twit on the planet and thank GOODNESS he has gone (why did they even bring him back?)

Louisa is really beautiful (and sings in tune which is more than can be said for quite a lot of them) and if she doesn't win, I for one will be gutted.

Lauren is also lovely and very genuine (Anton take note)

Loads of them seem to have been singing teachers/backing singers already which no one told us about - hmm

4th Impact are very sweet and quite good and deserve a good run, if not to win

Che is just like Toady out of Neighbours (and therefore we like him, and his girlfriend has dreads = also like) but he has a good voice too.

R&B are great fun, they can't seem to sing, but fuck it

Caroline is weird and seems, I dunno, pointless. Olly keeps cocking everything up and is his hair actually nailed on?

I was out last night so I missed it but I'm going to watch on catch up later and read the thread .

DD1 went to bed early and missed the end- so we've been catching up.

I would love 4 Binbags and Anton to be in the final 2- and for Simon to think 'Fuck it' and send home his own act.

Actually, I'd rather the Binbags went home. They seem to really want to.
Simon was right- they are a homogeneous mass- no individuality. There might as well only be one of them. They don't harmonise- if they sing Christina, they are just 4 Christinas. And the fake 'little girl' naivety they have going on is creepy.

That said, he obviously wants them to win- despite all the 'never heard of them' bobbins that he spouted early on.

See I thought Simon was really gunning for Louisa to win. Or does he already consider her a sure bet to make him some money, winner or not?

I thought Reggie and Bollie were good this week, they seem like lovely guys. Louisa was good too.

I think I said a few weeks back that the way Olly said Reggie and Bollie sounded like Reg Ebola but it was too mean to be a nick name. It was nothing to do with Race though - Olly needs to Enunciate!

I had a feeling Mason Annoys would go - his voice was like nails down a blackboard this week, imo.

It's ok Pickle- I knew what you meant. If we were mocking anyone, it was Olly. I never even considered it any other way.

Simon is very pro- Binbags, I think he wants to be the one who makes their careers, where others (including a previous Sony record deal) have failed. They don't even need to win for him to do that. How they will cope with the tour if they don't win, though remains to be seen. They are already 'homesick' unless that is part of the act, this week. Like fainting. It's not the first time they've been abroad to work- I also don't really know who would buy their stuff. They are a cabaret act to me.

But I think the winner's single is always a good indicator of who might win- It is a million miles removed from anything RandB and The Binbags do, and I think it will suit Louisa. Probably Che, as well. Lauren will hideously over-egg it, and Anton will probably cry.

Who else was very young and they kept on saying ' your only 17' I think it was lamenting Lauren from last year come to think of it now. how soon I forget.
Louisa does look a bit older, but she has a certain style ( a bit like Fleur from last year too) and I think she will do well, regardless if she wins or not.
Not sure why simon is so keen on the girl group really - but there you go.
I think Anton will go tonight somehow. Nick may need a few body guards for a while, but at least Anton will do the x factor tour, if that's on again.

Actually if I might say so, I don't think 4th Impact deserve that nickname either. They are genuine - it's not fake at all IMO, not the sweet part of it, maybe the more feisty acts they do require a bit of fake sass but they seem like really nice girls and from my very limited experience of Filipino women, it's very much how they are brought up to behave (the extreme politeness and so on). I could be wrong but they're not fake in the same way as Anton, for sure.

thred- me too, re the Binbags. We were mocking Olly's inability to enunciate- It was funny and apt. If I wanted to be mean, I would call the The Vacuous 4, because they have the personalities of ameoba.
