I have just watched season 1. I dont understand the reference to Patty Hewes having lost a baby, and there seemed to be some implied importance to the baby's name 'Julia'. I cant link it to anything else in the show.

Can anyone shed some light?

Casting my mind back I don't think you get to know much more about her daughter in Series one, I think it explains later.
