Anyone else excited about this? Have to admit I can't really remember how the original story plays out, but it looks good.

Won't be watching 'live' - it's on at 6.30, so must be reasonably tame, but probably still too scary for my DCs, so will watch on catch up.

When does it start?

fuzzpig · 25/10/2015 15:27

6.30 tonight on ITV (I was a bit surprised at the time, thought it'd be more a 9pm type thing)

That is early - I'll put it into series record. Thanks!

EnthusiasmDisturbed · 25/10/2015 19:28

that was scary

loved it

not sure it is family viewing Confused

Asheth · 25/10/2015 19:33

I really enjoyed that, but I'm surprised it was on so early. It was very frightening and very dark in places.

squoosh · 26/10/2015 15:48

I really enjoyed it but was surprised at its teatime slot, it was a bit dark and violent in places.

squoosh · 26/10/2015 15:50

Basically I just parroted Asheth! Grin

So I'll add that Mr Jekyll/Hyde was most pleasing on the eye!

BeckerLleytonNever · 26/10/2015 17:37

According to the wonderful daily fail theres been loads of complaints to Ofcom about the violence and gore shown at that time of night, before the so called watershed.

I didn't watch it and glad, cos my DC would've freaked out.

Asheth · 26/10/2015 18:26

I'm not surprised. I'm pretty laid back about such things but even I felt that ... spoiler for those that haven't watched...

People being tied up and left in a burning house to die was not tea time viewing!

WorriedCatLover · 26/10/2015 18:41

It is one of my most favourite books and this series is desperately awful Sad! It felt very cheesy. I gave it the benefit of watching the first episode but not watching again Halloween Hmm.

Rollergirl1 · 26/10/2015 18:48

I'm just watching now. What were itv thinking airing this at 6.30? Very frightening and definitely not family viewing!

Not sure if I like it or not. It is quite cheesy and over the top. But I think I read somewhere that Charlie Higson was going for cheesy somewhat.

Davros · 26/10/2015 23:27

It's got a good pedigree but I did find it silly. Will give it another chance, looks like more "monsters" next week

Not sure about it. Good cast so should be good..... But, just not sure.
Watched late last night, on sky planner, so hadn't realised 6.30pm - but that seems most inappropriate.

youngestisapsycho · 30/10/2015 22:45

I just watched it.... Certainly not suitable for a 6:30 viewing.... My DD9 was quite scared, and she watches a lot of older stuff.

Asheth · 01/11/2015 19:45

Anyone watching tonight?

fuzzpig · 01/11/2015 20:13

I haven't even seen the first one yet Blush DD uses the laptop for audio books so can't use catchup when they're in bed. Hmm

MarkingMyPlace9 · 16/11/2015 20:49
