Greetings, all.

I just wondered if this show is still thought fondly of in Britain, does it air in reruns etc?

I'm in the US and one of my local stations airs two episodes every Saturday evening; has for years. I've seen every one at least twice but really enjoy the genteel humor and glimpses of London.

Any fans still about?

i loved it back in the day

It often turns up on cable/satellite channels. I'm always surprised by how young Judi Dench looks in the early episodes. My mum had a bit of a thing for Alistair.

the lead adults are good in it

Thanks for the responses!

I am curious, is (or was, rather) the house they "live in" normal for a middle-class family or more realistic for the very wealthy? In London, I mean. It looks so lovely inside and out.

I remember this show! I would say they were fairly wealthy middle class, not super-rich but certainly well off.

I used to love this show!

My mother loves it and used to watch the reruns when she looked after my then toddler daughter. Consequently I have a soft spot for 'the man with the not happy face' as dd1 used to call Geoffrey Palmer.
