I knew Nick had left. He said in an interview that the filming is grueling and at 70 years old he simply didn't have the stamina - mind you, his TV career has taken off, starting with Countdown'. But isn't Claude one of the Advisers Alan Sugar has used in the interview round towards the end of each series?
£1.87 profit? It was obvious to those in the real world that £9 for a tuna nicoise salad was too high for street selling. April was a 'right proper madam' as Team Leader. It is one thing to be decisive - but to ignore team advice isn't the way forward. I liked Brett taking over the cooking of the fish cakes and then confirmed afterwards that he was a sous chef when Lord Sugar asked
Dan (on losing team) got off to a bad start having to be told to 'get his hands out of his pockets' by Lord Sugar at the introduction meeting. But then to sell "a big fat zero" wasn't looking very good for him. Quote of the programme by LordS about Dan's face-to-face selling: "Not so much Alexander the Great, more like Desperate Dan". (ROFL)
Ruth (bright jacket lady) appears to be a bit quirky - but she seems to be calmer than the rest. She's 47 years old and confident in her own skin. I am liking her and even Karren said that she had 'learned something' by watching her face-to-face selling techniques.
I predicted that April would bring Dan and Brett into the boardroom. (She totally ignored the team members who had contributed far less. They were under her radar!) However, I agreed with Lord Sugar's decision to fire Dan - and I don't always agree with him.
