Bloody hell its not for the faint hearted, I thought I knew my history but this is truly gruesome... Sad

I know! Not surprised they put the warning on. Misogyny has a lot to answer for. Makes me so grateful I'm not living several hundred years ago, I would probably be denounced as a witch ConfusedSad

Yes - but I am having to look away a lot.

It is one of the reasons I object to newspapers referring to our current child abuse investigations as 'witch-hunts'.

For example, Tom Watson MP was called a 'Witch-hunter' last weekend:

Witch-hunter Tom Watson's uncle is a child abuser

See what I mean? When anyone understands the history of witch-hunters and the way that they tortured women to get a confession, they would also balk at the use of that term in our modern society.

Watching on plus 1. Didn't realise where the history of witch hunting in the country (I'm in Scotland) orignated. Did visit a few years ago the village where the last 'witch' in Scotland was executed, it's odd though as it is also the site of a cathedral where a few slebs have got married. Peaceful place with a dark past.
