David Morrissey (not Stephen Morrissey the singer and inadequate novelist) wasn't actually Doctor Who at Christmas, he was a normal bloke who believed he was the Doctor because he'd absorbed some kind of timey-wimey stuff from a memory-stick, or something. They did all the pre-publicity to make it look as if he'd be the next Doctor, though.
