I just don't get what there is to love about season 2

They dragged out the farm.

They genuinely thought a walker in a well was issue.

The only shocking moment was Sophia. Nothing else happened in that season.

carbcraver · 08/11/2015 21:47

I didn't not like the farm, but the prison has been my fave so far I think. not because we got rid of lori there

Season two was great, it had:

  • Barn full of walkers
  • Zombie Sophia
  • Carl getting shot (but unfortunately surviving)
  • Rick, Glenn and Hershel getting into trouble with other humans for the first time and Rick subsequently killing his first human
  • Dale having his guts eaten
  • Rick killing Shane
  • Everyone finding out that everyone will turn no matter how they die
  • Beth trying to kill herself
  • Andrea being a complete bitch and being left to fend for herself
  • Awkward end of the world sex
  • Finding out that Lori was pregnant
ZacharyQuack · 09/11/2015 10:03

Shane shooting Otis in the leg so he became zombie bait
Lori telling the women that they should do the dishes and let the menfolk sort out the zombies
Zombie Shane

I also really enjoyed season 2 - you forgot when Daryl goes a bit Rambo while out looking for Sophia Queen. It was great when he started hallucinating Merle and was a sign of things to come Grin.

Season 3 was the disappointing one for me. Besides the ridiculous birthing bit (Lori going from early labour to needing a C-section within 10 'real time' minutes), they totally buggered up Andrea's character and the Governor was laughable. Not the bad guy he should have been due to inconsistent writing.

QueenStromba · 09/11/2015 10:23

Andrea was always out for herself though. Don't forget that she shacked up with Shane because she thought that Rick was a terrible leader. She also left Beth alone when she was on suicide watch. And she was horrible to Dale for the whole of season two. Of course she was going to ditch Michonne and shack up with the Governor.

MrsClusterfuck · 09/11/2015 10:29

True, I just meant buggered up compared to her comic book character, who was pretty cool.

BreakingDad77 · 09/11/2015 11:54

They genuinely thought a walker in a well was issue.

Was joking to DW that they turn into boglins if they have been in the water too long.

I actually think season 2 is even more important now as there are clearly parallels between Shane and Rick's current frame of mind. Rick is not the same man he was way back then (obviously) but no-one has noticed how similar to Shane he's become. If it was Rick saying Shane's speech about how all walkers do is kill so why feel anything for them, it wouldn't look out of place now at all.

ScarlettInSpace · 09/11/2015 12:33

I don't think I can say whole seasons are good/bad as it varies hugely from one week to the next. Plus the mid season break means I get confused which season is which Grin

I thought the prison flu eps were very yawny but then the governer attacking the prison was an insanely good episode I mostly watched like this >> Shock

True though rick seems to gets punished every time he tries to be live and let live they try and come back and kill him later in some form.

Glen got quite a pasting at the hands of the governer, crazy meryl.

carbcraver · 09/11/2015 17:34

I didn't like the governor. He annoyed me with his self claimed power, daughter walker thing chained up, heads as trophies, need I go on?!

KittyOShea · 09/11/2015 17:51

I'm with carbcraver and a few others on the governor.

While I enjoyed the prison (and series 2 Blush) I hated the governor. Far too cartoon villain.

I don't think we will find out about Glen. I think the Daily Mail et al would have told everyone if they knew, they usually do.

My American colleagues were not impressed with this episode... I'm ill so I hope it's worth saying up for!

The Governor gave me nightmares. The zombie daughter and the heads in fishtank...

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/11/2015 20:12

I still think the guv may come back ......

Hope to see glen tonight but sure we won't

Ricks van will suddenly start

gamerchick · 09/11/2015 20:29

I doubt we're going to find out about Glenn any time soon, he's still in the cast thingy.

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/11/2015 21:42

Maggie is pregnant !!!!

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 09/11/2015 21:56

We'll probably find out at the mid season finale that he's dead. They'll string it out for another couple of episodes at least. That'll be the cliffhanger, Maggie will spot him as a walker.

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/11/2015 21:56

Awwww ricks first kiss /Romance since Lori
