Nursing a hangover today :( but watching Strictly from last night, so all is well.

I'm out for lunch today with the girls from work and then to the cinema to see Legend, Tom Hardy X 2 yippee. I'm hoping I will be back for the watch along, but not sure. I might have to join in half way through.

Took youngest swimming this morning, there was a hot dad in the pool with his baby girl. Felt myself all flustered until I was dunked underwater by my little darling...

Just got in from shopping. Got so much to do before the watch-a-long. Putting tablet on charge now.

Afternoon. Already for the watch-along tonight. Hopefully hubby will fall asleep on the couch so I can drool over watch CJ in the eye drop scene

Been drinking all afternoon at the pub beer festival. It will be a miracle if I'm still awake at 9

Must make sure I'm ready on time tonight. I was about 5 mins behind last week.

Had quite a busy day. Was lovely to see my godson and his wife. Their baby is soooo cute. We were able to sit outside the whole time they were here. It's been a lovely day. Pity we've not had more like that this summer! Managed some tidying up in the garden as well. Think the tomatoes have just about finished now but the grapes are still going strong and there's still quite a bit of colour around too.

Me too ilove, been making the kids walk for miles in the woods and then play football, so hoping probably in vain, if past experience is anything thing to go by I've tired them out rather than just me being completely shattered!

By the way, I meant to say a massive well done for the moneyyou raised for Macmillan, that was brilliant, you must be so proud xx

I started watching Friday's SCD this morning ... But only managed to see the first two before I was interrupted by kids! Hoping to get to watch it tonight as DH is away, after the watch along, my futile plan is to stay up to see some of the lunar eclipse, and to set my alarm to get up at 3am ... Littlest usually wakes me about the anyway! Apparently it is worth seeing ... Should pretty much guarantee she sleeps through and I miss it completely!

Baby asleep yes! Just need to deal with DP!!
I quite excited for DS night feeds tonight so I can see the super moon/blood moon nickel. knowing my luck it will the one time in his 5 mths on this earth that he sleeps through.....

Thank you Nickel. It's very kind of you to say so. I suppose I am the one who sets these charity events going and I will chivvy people along but we had 23 cake bakers this time including me and the queue stretched halfway round the reception area in the office so the success is due to the other bakers and those who bought as much as me. We've never had so many people offering to bake so it's very encouraging. It's surprising the numbers of people who never have home made cakes normally.

Does anyone ever dip into those "Discussion of the day" items or "Trending now"? I had to laugh at the one on Kate Middleton (did the person not starting the thread know she has been the Duchess of Cambridge for over four years now). Not sure who is a royalist on here and who isn't but there are some very strong views expressed. It was quite funny. Maybe people think the same about our conversations.

I've finished off a bottle of wine I opened on Friday and am not convinced I will be able to stay awake throughout the watch along. Eeeek.

Oh phew! it took me about four attempts to login here as nothing kept happening if you know what I mean. Anyway all present and correct now and ready to go!
