Calling GB Interior Design Challenge viewers! Money for Nothing on BBC?

I have been bored tonight and stumbled across Money for Nothing on BBC I-player. Sarah who won GBIDC challenge in 2014 is the presenter. Sarah of the woodland paint roller and chinoiserie dining room fame.

She basically accosts people at the tip and relieves them of their trash to see what she can do with it. She then gives any profit made on the items back to the dumpees.

I've just watched one episode so far - anyone else watching?

Bumping my own post. Is there anyone else watching? I have just caught up with yesterday's episode. They made a chaise long out of a soil pipe. It is bonkers!

I've seen a few, but I didn't k ow 'who' she was.
In the intro, it looks lie Chinelo from the Sewing Bee is one of the makers? I LOVED Chinelo.

The soil pipe thing was.... interesting. Surely she'd have a shed it before handing it over? That chair thing was heinous too.

But I love the man who makes furniture out of old wood. Even if his plans all seem to start with 'cut donated thing in half, and build a new one in the middle of the 2 halves'.

Haven't seen it but might have a look. Sounds like the kind of thing i'd watch.

I've enjoyed watching each episode. Sarah comes across as very likeable but very different to how I perceived her on the Interior Design challenge. Not that she wasn't likeable then but she seems a bit funkier! I adored the upcycled chest of drawers last week where the drawer fronts were hand printed.

On one episode I saw - poss yesterday - she wore 4 different stripey tops.

Ooh yes I have just spotted Chinelo in today's intro too!

I quite liked it, but I've only seen one episode (the lidded box one). I find her a bit annoying in a Kirsty Allsop sort of way. I liked what the guy did with the box (and a bit at the profit) but it would have been far more practical as a lidded box. I'd like to have seen it turned into a toy chest or something. I'd just have sanded and painted it, and maybe added a padded lid.

The pipe chair I didn't really get. Who the jeff is going to sit on it?
