Passionate hatred for jamelia! Always have.... Can't help myself! We could live in hope that BA will be in it next year but then I would have severe jealously over what dance partner he would get

pixieg1rl · 05/09/2015 20:46

Ooh, I think I'm feeling all grr on behalf of Sean now. That Giovanni is a bit of a creep.

KellyHb · 05/09/2015 20:49

You're not wrong there Jen. Imagine if LT was a contestant then too and they did it together? Sorry, hapless romantic Kelly coming out. Blush

Rhubarb01 · 05/09/2015 20:51

Funnily I've always liked Claudia Ice probably because her strange witterings remind me of the way my mind works half the time. Mind you we've always thought she looks like Tess's little sister who's borrowed some of her clothes which are a bit on the big side. Still she does a bit of slapstick for the kids and the alternative is Brucie!!

KellyHb · 05/09/2015 20:54

Yeah Maddie. I would have total jealous over BA's partner. I don't know if he's too much of a private person to do Strictly??

Rhubarb01 · 05/09/2015 20:55

Perhaps there's a an AU fanfic in there Kelly - CJ is the hot arrogant dancing professional (very manly of course) and MD is a fairly obscure C list celebrity lacking in confidence who has to win his admiration and learn the moves so that they can win the show!!

MaddieMoo82 · 05/09/2015 21:00

kelly I think if his profile was bigger we would get offered it as he would definately increase viewing figures Smile but it does look like you have to open up your life to the public eye which it doesn't seem like he is keen to do cries into cushion

pixieg1rl · 05/09/2015 21:02

Daniel O'Donnell needs a Botox intervention

KellyHb · 05/09/2015 21:05

Yip rhu that is such a story waiting to happen. If I knew the first thing about dancing I would have a go myself. But what a great fanfic it would make!!

Oh thanks for being my watch along buddy rhu. Its so hard to write and watch but I'd better get in training for the watch along! Grin

Rhubarb01 · 05/09/2015 21:06

To be honest I think BA would need a much bigger public profile - more regular mainstream TV and some films - he'd probably have to be in a soap to get offered Strictly and although I could be wrong I can't see him doing that. The general make up is usually soap actors, sports stars, pop stars, newscasters, general non-actor celebrities. The last non-soap actor I can remember is Colin Salmon.

Rhubarb01 · 05/09/2015 21:14

That was fun kelly but I know what you mean. I had a bit of practice with the Eurovision thread but had to give up reading the posts that time because it was too fast to follow. Luckily I can touch type and always use my laptop so that helps. Sorry for hijacking the thread everyone - we might speed through them between now and Christmas at this rate.

KellyHb · 05/09/2015 21:17

That's why my messages are like 2 words long. I need to get back into touch typing.

I'm so happy for Anton getting I think a pretty decent partner especially after Helen Georges comment.

Rhubarb01 · 05/09/2015 21:26

Yes, I think Katie Derham looks keen and fairly fit and as long as Anton comes up with some good moves they may do quite well. Actually, my previous posts about actors being in soaps is entirely disproved by Helen George being in the show! Doh!! However, Call the Midwife is a huge show. As we all know - no one watched OG did they.

KellyHb · 05/09/2015 21:34

rhu I've just read our thread back from the beginning of scd earlier and if you hadn't been watching the show, it would've made no sense. Its so funny to read back though.

MaddieMoo82 · 05/09/2015 21:46

We could practice with a lady chatterly watch a long tomorrow night.... Although it does go on for a bit! Definately would need a new thread...

Rhubarb01 · 05/09/2015 21:54

Yes you could be right there maddie we must have whipped through about a hundred posts and that was mainly me and Kelly - just imagine the OG watch along it could be several hundred.

Just re-read the posts Kelly and it's quite funny when the answers are out of sequence.

MaddieMoo82 · 05/09/2015 21:56

I going to get well confused with the thread and Twitter rhu! Going to need my charger on hand as will have no battery left....

KellyHb · 05/09/2015 22:07

Yip Maddie looking forward to Lady Chatterley tomorrow. I'm sure its on for an hour and a half. I can comment a few times on the potential deliciousness of Richard Madden's acting talents and my gripe that JN isnt the lover if you like Maddie

MaddieMoo82 · 05/09/2015 22:13

Sounds good kelly I'll probably be moaning that there isn't enough QS for my liking Blush

Nickel45 · 05/09/2015 22:14

maddie think I'm gonna struggle to watch and keep up on here, let alone more than one place! I'm going to stick on here, else I won't know what I'm doing. Might be worth having the next thread set up ready though just incase we fill the current one up? Is forgotten Lady C was on tomorrow, has it got good reviews? I'll be watching anyway, mind, Sean Bean was very watchable in the previous one

KellyHb · 05/09/2015 22:26

Its got 4 stars in the TV times we bought nickel. I did love the Sean Bean version too. Grin

KellyHb · 05/09/2015 22:28

There never is enough QS in anything much I've seen Maddie

Ilovelblue · 05/09/2015 22:39

Hi all.

Long day out today but really enjoyed it. The food festival was excellent. It had really gone downhill about four years ago and we stopped going but went again last year to find it was a completely different format and had significantly improved. This year, it was being run by volunteers, seems the council had pulled out, and it was brilliant. Lots more stalls in several different areas and the town was buzzing. We did lots of sampling as well as buying and then some ordinary (not food) shopping. Had tea in Knutsford on the way home..... tired now!

Loved all your musings on Strictly. I didn't think there was anyone on here who was a fan. Not sure if you remember, but my neighbour and I have a bet on Strictly each year and we won £40 in the final last year. I was on here rabbiting on about the dancers in the final whilst pretending to my neighbour that I was checking out the William Hill website.

I'd be up for a watch along definitely!

Thanks for the advice Rhubarb and orphan about the cake for my friend's birthday meal out. I will just take her out for her lunch I think. Apart from the effort when I'm tired, it involved whizzing round with the hoover and duster and I need to go out on my bike first thing ... can't do both!

I'm also a strictly fan but have recorded tonight and only watched half properly. I whizzed through the rest so twins could see the pairings before bed. They will be 12 next birthday I can't believe we have many more years of snuggling on the sofa together watching! I will watch the rest properly soon, otherwise I don't know half of the celebs. I find it doesn't matter too much if you don't know them at the beginning you soon get drawn in though. Tristan is one of my favourites- jury's still out on the new ones!

The female celebs are all so beautiful this year- makes me feel like one of the ugly sisters watching.
