I've just seen the first part of tonight's. Chlorine a fruit and nut case. I don't think I liked/nor was it necessary for them to show Janice's bee sting fit. I certainly wouldn't like it.

What did they say on BOTS about the "seizure"? Did rylan confirm it was genuine? I've given up on BOTS - I love the discussion and exclusives etc but can't bare the silly filler VTs/games etc, waste of time. I'd watch if it was only 30 mins. And when I do watch, when there's been something controversial going on and I'm interested in what they say about it on BOTS, it's always so disappointing because they always steer the conversation away from genuine opinions or interesting discussion

She must've been taken to my local hospital.

I would imagine they could only give limited info on the bee sting incident anyway, as it's her private medical information. Her hand was clearly discoloured, so obviously something happened. In the scope of things, it's just a blip really. She got stung, she had a bad reaction, she was treated. End of story. She didn't go into huge histrionics about it afterwards, just got on with things. If she'd been swanning around saying "oh god, I almost died" or something, then yeah it'd be annoying. But she didn't from what we've seen.

I don't believe she had a seizure and I don't believe she was anaphylaxic either. If she'd had a seizure she'd have been admitted for observation not returned to the house 5 minutes later. If she was anaphylaxic and having restricted breathing she wouldn't be talking normally. My sister has a nut allergy and sounds like she's been inhaling helium when she speaks during an attack. She'd also have been admitted for observation if this was the case.

I believe she had an LLR (large localised reaction) which is where a large area around the sting reacts and swells/discolours. It's not dangerous and will disappear on it's own in a couple of days but can be treated with over the counter strength steroids and anti-histamines if it's very painful or ichy.

She also had a massive attack of dramallamaitis for which there is no known cure but cutting out attention can alleviate the symptoms.

It's highly possible that she had a localised reaction, but it's also possible that she previously had a much worse reaction to a bee sting, so on this occasion, expecting the worse, she lapsed into a panic attack. It's also possible she did have a seizure.

I don't see why it's an issue, frankly. She clearly was stung and had a bad reaction to it. She clearly needed medical attention, which she got. She then returned to the house (according to the show, she was gone for at least a few hours).

If it had been Farrah, she'd have been going on and on about how she almost died, but Janice doesn't seem to be focusing on it. She thanked the medical staff that treated her and then just got on with things. She's not trying to convince people she was poorly, she's not making a huge deal of it. Many viewers are, but I guess that's their hang up, not hers.

I think the whole problem with Janice's incident is that while it contained medical issues and therefore her privacy, it also happened on a reality show and became a 'storyline' So while it was undoubtedly painful and unpleasant for her, it also ticked that day's box for some airtime. That's what she's there for after all. She always tries to give value does Janice.

Changing the subject slightly would she have got billed for it? Or bb?

I'm sure that BB has insured the Americans for the show. So I guess that would be a combination of their insurance and BB.

I watched BOTS loved Nikki hating Paul because he really gets on my nerves too. Anyone know why the bloke ran off out of the audience? Was watching in bed with a low volume and so missed what happened previously.
