CBeebies - good or evil?

I'm only coming here to vent as I feel like I'm about to explode at my oh. He's stuck our dd in front of CBeebies, again. Every weekend or whenever he's supposed to be parenting (note, parents do not babysit), the TV becomes a big part of the day and our 2yo dd becomes a zombie.

Granted, CBeebies is invaluable when you're ill or need to have a quick shower, use the bathroom or want to stop your children from kicking each other in the head, but right now I just wish he'd not resort to TV all the fricking time.

Ugh.

Cbeebies (and CBBC) are both good. In fact some of their programming is amazing.

But no, not all day. My DC are older (5-9) and more than an hour of tv makes them really ratty, and whiny and claim to be hungry constantly.
