Well, i kind of get were James was coming from with his question re music. In rap terms. I was blessed [?] enough to to see Kanye at Glastonbury and he said it every second word. I took it that James was asking about music.

I'm mixed race and will never ever get my head around the way black people use the n word ( maybe cos I'm of a generation that was called it regularly as a child )
However I appreciate and take on board what Scoop was trying to explain.
I think he articulated it quite well and BB handled the situation very well.

I've had similar conversations with my teenage DS and have accepted that he listens to modern rap music (after all, parents are not SUPPOSED to understand teenage music...its the law..ha ha!)
But I have told him if I EVER hear him use that word he will break my heart
