OK, so I'm really really late to this but have only just started watching. Took me a few episodes, but now I'm halfway through first series I am hooked. It's very good, no? Yay for the next load of episodes I have waiting !

I've always wanted to shout 'Ginger!' through an office door. I think it's because I've never met a real-life person called Ginger and would love an opportunity to use the name.

Roger Rees/Lord John Marbury has died.

The character may have been questionable but the acting always a treat.

Yes, very sorry to hear about Roger Rees. His character was ludicrous but he was sublime - loved him calling Leo Gerald.

Yes, I loved Donna and co. following him around and swooning, watched by an incredulous Josh. And the Leo baiting!

Sorry watching that clip made me remember that bit and I thought it was a cheerful thought for a Monday morning!

Ps we are now knee deep in season 7 and I'm getting increasingly annoyed with the writers not writing what I think the characters would do it's like they don't like them anymore ???? (apologies i am over invested)

We are down to 3 episodes left of the entire box set. Have no idea what we are going to do when it is over.

woundbobbin I think the problem is that as the show went on, the people who really knew the characters inside out (particularly Sorkin and Schlamme) had left and the heart had gone out of the show. There are episodes in the final season which do no justice at all to the long-established characters.

That's why the Santoses and Alan Alda were great additions to the cast - they could be written from scratch without thousands of baying fans saying 'that's not what would happen!'

I've just watched the penultimate episode of season 4. That storyline was absured but jesus they built the tension in the last ten minutes so well.

Why is Toby not in the last episode??

I don't think that Toby would have done what he did in the last season. He is far too loyal, it's a weird storyline.
