I think we need to ban the word banter from being bandied around the house (see what i did there?) as none of the house mates seem to have a grasp of the true concept of the word.
To me banter is when two or more people are verbally bouncing off each other in a lighthearted way and everybody immediately understands the jokes without explanation...

Marc outright insults people and then if they 'chose' (as he says) to be offended then he claims its just banter.
Danny, when put on the spot as to whether or not he fancied Ash, said they had just been enjoying banter and most likely meant it as a compliment.
Jack then relayed this to Ash she took it as a huge insult saying " oh so i"m only banter to you??"
Ive only been thinking about it because when my teenage son and friends have been out and have a really good laugh they say they have had 'pure bants' ...so even though they are using modern day slang they actually have a better understanding of the word than this bunch apparent adult housemates...someone throw a dictionary in there!
