I'm' back did you miss me ? Wink Grin
I had a great day with Wilf and capped it off in typical Lottie style ending up drinking Prosecco on the train home in paper cups with a load of gorgeous middle aged amateur footballers on the end of season night out!! One of them was a Chelsea season ticket holder so we had lots to chat about. Wilf's best friend J has AS too and looked most alarmed when the men told him he would have to carry me off the train!!! Grin
I watched Friday's episode yesterday and thought that Simon's golden buzzer act was def put in with a weak bunch. I felt very sorry for the little girl at the end!

Thought the dog were superb. Thought Isaac would be higher. The magician was nothing special to me.

Yes, there was quite a large hole in it Confused link

iklboo · 01/06/2015 12:37

Furball - DH has that trick with the cards the magician did.

LineRunner · 01/06/2015 13:02

It's done using the basic formula that no matter what the person says, the magician has a option ready to make that the right answer.

LineRunner · 01/06/2015 16:37

Tightrope dog wasn't even Matisse. It was a stunt double.

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/06/2015 16:42

you beat me to it linerunner

i think they should be disquailified and jamie to win

not mattise

Weebirdie · 01/06/2015 16:43

Yes. But how?

LineRunner · 01/06/2015 16:58

Blondes do you think it was dishonest, ie people who paid to vote were deceived? I think they probably were.

Weebirdie he will have had cards stashed everywhere, along with a fair idea of what Simon was likely to say (a la Derren Brown), I imagine. How else could it be done?

LineRunner · 01/06/2015 16:59

Of course it could be magic Smile

Hillingdon · 01/06/2015 17:02

Of course he did it somehow! its not as though it was real but it was very clever. Why is using another dog a big issue. Some of the singers used diferent backing vocals for songs or had snazzy sets

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/06/2015 17:05

coz we all assumed it was matisse

whats the basic formula ...... Grin

LineRunner · 01/06/2015 17:10

I think the use of another dog was deceptive.

LineRunner · 01/06/2015 17:11

If I told you Blondes I'd have to kill you.

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/06/2015 17:20

thats fine, i shall die happy Grin

VivaLeBeaver · 01/06/2015 17:21

The "stunt double" dog was hardly a ringer. She still trained the dog, etc. it's not like it's a professional Hollywood dog she borrowed.

It was obvious I thought that there were two dogs when they were doing the appearing from the different bins bit. It was too quick for it to be the same dog.

LineRunner · 01/06/2015 17:22

Turns out the dog act was the bigger illusion, then.

LIZS · 01/06/2015 17:28

I didn't see the semifinal but Ds reckons it was obvious there were two dogs there. The whole BGT machine is an illusion , this was no more so than the illusionist they beat.

youarekiddingme · 01/06/2015 17:35

That explains why stunt double dog kept his head down and no camera shots were shown!

I think the bins was all one dog. It's just an empty space inside so moves along.

riverboat1 · 01/06/2015 17:38

I did think on first seeing the tightrope bit that it could well be another dog, but forgot about it afterwards.

I think she should have said in the on-stage chat bit after the act that she wanted to thank the tightroping dog, thereby making it clear it wasn't Matisse. But undoubtedly the producers told her not to.

LineRunner · 01/06/2015 17:39

How were billed for the vote? Was it Jules and her Dogs, or Jules and Matisse?

riverboat1 · 01/06/2015 18:05

It was billed as Jules and Matisse...but then she had openly involved other dogs in her acts throughout the competition (the second dog in the semi final, and the three legged dog in the final) it was always just obvious they were extra to Matisse. In the particular case of the tightroping dog, it wasn't acknowledged it was one of these extra dogs.

Furball · 01/06/2015 18:22

Would it be the same if another singer was quickly brought in because one of the acts couldn't reach the right notes

Or the impressionist brought on someone who could do an impression they couldn't

for example

I don't know if it's right or wrong with the dog but just feel everyone has been abit duped

Sparklingbrook · 01/06/2015 18:28

No I don't think you can compare people to dogs TBH.
