I'm beside you on the sofa! I can't help feeling, much as I love the man, that all his motifs and designs are getting a touch repetitious.

springbabydays · 17/05/2015 21:29

Those tiles are amazing!

JustKeepKnitting · 17/05/2015 21:31

I've just started watching it Smile

floatyflo · 17/05/2015 21:32

I've just flicked it on. Shame I've missed half of it. Love that drawing he just did in his laptop/pad/posh techy programme.

Jellykat · 17/05/2015 21:34

I loved the lady involved in sticking Julies nipples on all day Grin

Think the tiles will look completely different, once merged in with the other details of the house.

I love Grayson Perry, so talented and creative and yet so accessible... I may need to go to Essex to view this house myself :)

Jellykat · 17/05/2015 21:38

Apparently you can stay in it Lucy - god knows how much that'll cost though
Confused

700 for two nights.

Jellykat · 17/05/2015 21:41

Wowee, it's bloody fabulous!!
Very temple like eh?

OP posts:
Corygal · 17/05/2015 21:41

Who owns it and/or paid him to do it in the first place?

Jellykat · 17/05/2015 21:43

£700 isn't bad, thought it would be a helluva lot more!

Cory, a holiday rental business i think..

LucyInTheSkyWithDonuts · 17/05/2015 21:43

Ooohhh, that's not as much as I thought! Puts it in the realm of the possible, I just need to think of a suitable occasion to celebrate in the bosom of an Essex lady :)

Jellykat · 17/05/2015 21:47

Grayson is really reminding me of Mary Portas Grin

The weird thing is, all of those pictures CAN be interpretated as personal to each one of us.. What a very clever man! and what a very honest man..

SirChenjin · 17/05/2015 22:17

Love love love the house - quirky, touching, beautiful. I am now utterly in love with Grayson Perry and his wonderful imagination.

MrsFring · 17/05/2015 22:23

How extraordinarily moving. Grayson makes me proud to be British, and proud to be a woman.

meglet · 17/05/2015 22:36

love the builders getting attached to the project.

Jacana · 17/05/2015 22:38

I was impatient to see this, I'd heard him talking about it on the radio. Isn't it just fabulous! Actually there was more symmetry to the building than I'd been expecting. I wonder who did the tapestry map - the local WI?

He's an extraordinary man with an extraordinay talent.Star

Jellykat · 17/05/2015 22:42

Good point Jacana, the tapestry was so intricate and beautiful. Would have been great if the local WI had been involved too Smile

Love Grayson Perry and loved watching this programme. Why is GP not on TV every night of the week ? He is so good for my soul.

Jellykat · 17/05/2015 22:55

His Reith lectures from 2 years ago (radio 4) were very interesting, might still be available somewhere.. Agree, great to see his face (and his wonderful outfits) on telly for once.

A webchat would be a brilliant idea - I'll contact MN Towers, if that's OK?
