Looks good but really started this thread just so I could shout "Troels !"

ha ha
great,
thanks for that.
love The Bridge so if that is any comparison, looks good.

noddyholder · 16/05/2015 09:50

Will be watching it Looks good

Golfhotelromeofoxtrot · 16/05/2015 09:50

Ohh what's it about?

SurelyYoureJokingMrFeynman · 16/05/2015 09:50

Ooh, shall check this out.

BitOfFun · 16/05/2015 09:51

Fantastic- thanks for the reminder.

fiftyval · 16/05/2015 10:06

It isn't crime or politics but historical epic. Apparently most expensive show they have made. Las Mikkelson is enough to make me watch but the added benefit of Birgitte from Borgen makes it even better as she is such a good actress.

Ace! Thanks will set it to record.

You've done a very good thing today OPGrin

fiftyval · 16/05/2015 10:53

To 'Good' - I hope it is good as it might be slow to get going. The history will be interesting to me as I know nothing about Scandinavian history pre WW2.

prettywhiteguitar · 16/05/2015 10:58

Ooooh ! Thank you for the heads up I love Troels and Birgitte !

AgentProvocateur · 16/05/2015 10:59

Looking forward to it, and marking my place on this thread to discuss. I'm going out tonight, so I'll watch it tomorrow or early next week. Is it one hour or two?

fiftyval · 16/05/2015 14:11

Me too 'Agent'. There are 2 episodes tonight.

Can't wait.Is Troels in it? Oh I hope so Grin

fussychica · 16/05/2015 18:04

Yay a new foreign language series after endless repeats of MOntalbano. I love him but not enough to see repeated out of sequence episodes as a filler until they decide to show a new programme. 1864 looks good and everyone you know from Borgan will probably be making an appearance as there are probably only a dozen actors in Denmark!

madcapped · 16/05/2015 18:09

Just checking in for afters. Grin

SantanaLopez · 16/05/2015 18:11

I'm really looking forward to it, although I know nothing about Danish history at all!

2 episodes in one night? Might record the second.

sumoweeble · 16/05/2015 18:14

Thanks for heads up. Would have missed it and now very excited!

Valsoldknickers · 16/05/2015 21:24

Recorder set up. Knackered this evening so won't be able to stay awake.

These subtitled dramas spell disaster for my ironing pile, can't read and iron at the same time, took me about two hours to watch an episode of 'The Bridge' one night, had to keep rewinding Grin

JoanHickson · 16/05/2015 21:26

I am watching The hunger games again. I will catch up with this hopefully.

2rebecca · 16/05/2015 21:39

I'm enjoying it, not as warry as I thought it may be. Lars was better as Troels though. Love the girl

noddyholder · 16/05/2015 21:51

I like it. Lars was in HofC

BitOfFun · 16/05/2015 21:58

I'm really enjoying it so far. And the subtitles are keeping me more sober than usual on a Saturday night Grin

noddyholder · 16/05/2015 21:58

It looks beautiful

OwlBeeBack · 16/05/2015 22:20

Enjoying this.

Nice to see Troels again too Wink

SurelyYoureJokingMrFeynman · 16/05/2015 23:52

It's very pretty, but I found We, the Drowned tedious. And this is somewhat reminiscent so far...

2rebecca · 17/05/2015 09:10

Disappointed with Troels Sad but otherwise enjoyed those episodes but concerned it will turn in to a misery fest like so many war films. It wasn't a war that ended well for the danes.
