Anyone watch epi 1 of the new series? If so what did you think? I really enjoyed it. Love the whole thing of Mat Le Blanc being gutted about losing half his money. And the twist with the new studio boss being the wife of a guy Carol slept with years ago.

I loved it. That is the core of the situation imo. The English couple trying to stick to their principles and not really sticking to them at all, but also being constantly out-manoeuvred by all that is LA. They don't want to play the game but they do and think they're getting it, only to be outplayed!

Hmm, I didn't really like the portrayal of Helen Basch as someone who'd mess around professionally to make personal points. Given Carol was her subordinate, asking her to leave the TV stage and things was a bit extreme. And she knows that Tim guy is useless, why ruin the show by hiring him to run it.
