Anyone been watching this on lifetime?
Been a guilty pleasure of mine as u remember reading the book as a teenager. Just the right blend if melodrama and darkness!

what channels lifetime im on virgin i love to see it if its repeated

MissBattleaxe · 06/05/2015 18:17

It wasn't as good as the book, although I still enjoyed watching it. Petals on the Wind was so far away from the book that I barely recognised it. It's a shame as it could have been a great TV movie. But wasn't.

Fierceflora · 06/05/2015 18:19

Ooh intriguing! what channel? We have sky via Virgin and have just upgraded to seemingly everything. When is it on? Or can I get it on catch up do you know?

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 09/05/2015 10:17

Love it, not seen the last one yetGrin

FeelingSmurfy · 09/05/2015 10:22

Not as good as the books but still good, just got seeds of yesterday to watch now

gamerchick · 09/05/2015 10:30

Ooh did they make more? I thought we just had flowers in the attic.

AgentCooper · 09/05/2015 10:32

I liked the Lifetime ones but my God, nothing tops the madness of the film from 1987! Grin

"I have to go to the bathroom."
"Be silent! Learn control."

MissBattleaxe · 09/05/2015 17:23

Have they made If There Be Thorns then?

IHaveBrilloHair · 09/05/2015 17:32

I've seen the first three, entertaining old shite, love themGrin

bantamgirl · 09/05/2015 17:50

I only saw the last two and I really want to see the first two now.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 09/05/2015 18:20

I'm watching it now, god it's so crap it's goodGrin

WrappedInABlankie · 09/05/2015 18:20

Yes they've made

flowers in the attic
Petals in the wind
If there be thorns
Seeds of yesterday

I haven't read the books but I loved them

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 09/05/2015 18:37

The books are so much better, the films are like little snap shots of the real stories.

The award for the funniest sex scene goes to Bart in Seeds of Yesterday , so funny I actually laughed out loudGrin

elbowsdontsing2 · 09/05/2015 19:14

ive not read the book or seen the film but wasnt flowers in the attic based on a true story

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 09/05/2015 19:16

Not really, I think that was hype to sell the books I've done extensive research over the years Wink

MissBattleaxe · 09/05/2015 19:29

I didn't think much of Petals on the Wind at all. It was nothing like the book, and even allowing for artistic licence, it almost didn't resemble it at all.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 09/05/2015 19:32

The films were utter shite, let's be honestWink just chewing gum for the brain...

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 09/05/2015 20:01

what was the prequel, garden of shadows or something?

WrappedInABlankie · 09/05/2015 20:53

I really liked the films haha

FeelingSmurfy · 09/05/2015 21:44

The films are probably better if you haven't read the books, the books are amazing so it would be hard for any film to live up to them

The new films being shown on lifetime are a lot better than the 1987 version of flowers in the attic
