Jill is a saint for putting up with the regime, the clutter and bloody Julian!

The Fieldhead Hotel was on Four in a Bed nearly three years ago and it doesn't look like too much has changed really, it's still very old fashioned. I was taken aback at their decor choices when they purchased new furniture and that Julian thought the alternative place Alex took them too was 'too posh' when the rates were comparable.

That said things must've improved because recent reviews seem much better. If you do look it up on Trip Advisor and check out some of the earlier poor reviews Julian's extensive responses will have you and His responses to some of the better reviews are also a bit of a treat to read.

I'm surprised Alex got anywhere with him, from what I've seen and read it's hard work and the financial side isn't working well for them, but he's totally resistant to criticism or change. Pleased to see that Gill seems to be standing up to him a bit more now though, that woman seems to work right round the clock.
