Does anyone remember this children's BBC drama from the 70s?

Is this the best place to ask?

This drama was set somewhere in the middle east in the desert it was about a (western) brother and sister who got separated (not sure if kidnapped or what) either from each other or from their parents.

It wasn't one of those Sunday dramas, I think it was on after school on a weekday.

I would really love to track it down if I could. I hope someone recognises it.

Is it the one with the two young Cowboys searching for their sister, who I think was kidnapped when she was a child?

Was about to say Walkabout but that was a film if I recall correctly. I was hoping you were going to be asking about the Phoenix and the Carpet, oh how I miss that and want to find on DVD to rewatch but am worried that I've glossed my memories of it.

Ok the one I'm thinking sbout I've just googled and is The Quest.

pantah630, that is why I've resisted my sisters DVD of The Singing Ringing Tree. I did get a FVD of Arthur The King of Camelot cartoon but the episodes were so short most of it was taken up by the theme tune (which I loved but not THAT much!)

Was it The Terracotta Horse? I seem to remember that it was set in Morroco.

I bought a copy of Trapdoor cartoon that I loved as a teen, it's still fab but I was only 7 when TPATC was on TV. Luckily it's not been released, there are some clips on YouTube I found while googling but so far have resisted temptation to watch.

I was thinking 'The Quest' too, Thick&Thin. It was the chap Russell somebody-or-other who has been married to Goldie Hawn for eons. ????

I used to watch the Singing Ringing Tree, and that was more '60s, I think.

I loved the Singing Ringing Tree, saw a couple of clips on YoutUbe the other month and brought it all back. I remember TPATC too.

The show I'm looking for definitely wasn't Walkabout and it was definitely just one brother and one sister. I think I'm going to email the BBC and will mention The Quest and The Terracotta Horse....

The Quest, my Dad is STILL gutted that we never found out what happened as the series was pulled before it reached its conclusion!
