Anyone think that the calorie restricters looked about 80?

They're......interesting. It doesn't seem much fun though!

They look strange. And they are boring.

I am eating macaroons in a desperate attempt NOT to look like those two.

He looks like he has had homestyle cosmetic surgery performed by her wearing her overly dark glasses.

Come the zombie apocalypse I want Raw Meat Guy on my side until he eats me.

And old calorie guy had malnutrition pot belly.
Hope those fruitarians arent feeding those small children a totally fruit diet.

Restricted calorie guy had extraordinary lips.

Oh well, Giles Coren gets a jolly to the usa, talks to some nutters and some other people, comes to remarkable conclusion that moderation in all things is a Good Thing. Licence fee well spent. at least it isn't paying Clarkson

Restricted calorie couple looked ancient and were very creepy I thought - the way he kept pushing his face at Giles.

How come his doctor described him as 'slightly overweight '? Seriously?

Just heard on radio 2 that those calorie restrictions were 64 - same age as my parents....who look much healthier!

Those calorie restricters look like something from the Rocky Horror show.

DH and I were channel hopping and thought they were The Walking Dead!

I might try the diet though just to experience that lovely, warm, smooth poo that left him feeling elated!

I think you can't possibly live on fruit alone for a life time.

I watched the first part after stargazing live with Buzz Aldrin, he looked far healthier and younger than those two, and he's 85.

Those calorie restricters are really weird and look way older than their age. One bad flu or norovirus and they'd be dead as they've got no fat reserves.

I was gobsmacked, the guy cutting the sheep like that.. He was so strange..
( poss serial killer?) .. The fruit loops looked fun. A good jolly for him though. Strange the bbc couldn't find any for him to hang out with in the U K. We are all obviously too sane to try these diets over here..

I can't get over the calorie restriction. It's a way of life for them which is fine but not something I could do. I'm not convinced its a very happy way of life.
I'm only watching for Giles ( slightly ashamed to admit that )

nick I would watch Giles do anything too. Dont be ashamed. He's fabulous.
I sort of agree with the80's that raw meat man might grow up to be a serial killer. He's eerie.

The raw meat guy.. He had a weird look in his eye.. Even his dad looked worried! Giles was good. I like a bit of cynicism! ...

Oh yes those longevity people were strange indeed, why was she wearing sunglasses indoors if she's sooo healthy??? His teeth didn't look at all healthy and his hair was dyed a strange shade of orange. Choucroute is shit IMO . I noticed their pot bellies too.

That meat eater man was weird, cave dwellers ate lots of greens and fruit not just bleeding (literally) meat.

The fruitarians were okish but durian fruit tastes and smells like sick yeuch
