I watched it. I was curious to see his lady assistant and whether her views on him had changed but she didn't say much. His crimes were hideous weren't they?

Aeroflotgirl · 13/03/2015 08:50

They were absolutely horrendous. Tgat poor man speaking out who had been abused by his father and then in the group for 9 years. He said that Saville enjoyed seeing him suffer, to him he was an object, nothing Sad. It was said JS did not like children, no shit, what he did to them.

His interview with Dr Anthony Clare on the radio, I think its called In the Psychiatrists Chair, is very revealing in hindsight. He keeps mentioning having a new car in case of 'a scandal' that he could sell to fund an escape and that he could 'come back' after any scandal. Also of note is spending 5 days with his mothers corpse. Deeply creepy. And 5 days? Surely lying in of the dead at home, was a couple of days at most back then?

What makes you wonder is that out of his mothers 7 children, two turned out to be sexual predators. His father seems non existent/ never mentioned. Something very, very wrong went on there no matter how much he protests his Mother's wonderfulness.

Yeah, no Sazzle. Saville's crimes are his responsibility, not the fault of his mother.

Sazzle41 · 13/03/2015 13:07

I know they are ArcheryAnne, what i am saying is there was something in that family structure or dynamic that was dysfunctional, all the studies prove that nurture is the thing that makes for warped adults. ie. Recent US studies found 90% of serial killers have been found to have either had a serious head injury involving damage to the frontal lobe of the brain which governs personality, impulse control and empathy: or, horrific childhood physical/sexual abuse.

Aeroflotgirl · 13/03/2015 13:26

I understand Sazzle, of course JS is 100% responsible for his crimes, but Mabey abuse or trauma in childhood could have contributed to his behaviour, if he had a head injury or something. No person in their rights mind would do what he did. Thousands were abused by him!

We watched the programme. The evidence of the man who was picked up from his home or school for sex parties was horrific. JS seemed to have no morals. Thank goodnes for Childline which first gave a voice to children caught in this situation.
