Friends looks so dated now!

I'm watching my friends boxsets for the first time in years.

Some of the storylines couldn't even happen now. The prom video springs to mind.

Now if you found a video you'd have no player to play it on!

Several storylines revolve around answering machines. If Ross & Rachel had had mobiles they wouldn't have split when they did.

Then there's the fashion/hair /make up.
I like the clothes more than what I see in the shops now tbh. (Showing my age)
The girls have such thin eyebrows!
It's nice that no one has a fake tan.
The jeans have such high waists!

I'm only up to season 3 so far, I'm sure there's more to come.

My teenagers and friend's teenagers have all discovered Friends and love it, that is both boys and girls. Some comedies stand the test of time even if they do look dated.

Oh I can see how it appeals to teen of today.

Tbh I'd much rather mine watched it than towie etc.

Now there's smoking in a cafe! I can't even imagine that now!

And the pram & kit in the baby on the bus episode wouldn't even sell in a charity shop now.

My DDs have just watched all 10 seasons and love it, I know what you mean though, it does look dated and in the later seasons they look much glossier and thinner, but...I still love it and it still makes me laugh, even though I know what's coming!

my DD has just got the box set (because I was getting fed up with TBBT). She is still on the first series or maybe just into second and loves it. I will ask her if she thinks they look old-fashioned.

It's things like looking for jobs and flats in the paper, having a Walkman and a CD player, those kind of things that date it the most.

My local paper still advertises jobs and housing, although granted, it wouldn't be my first stop.

My teen DSes love it, it can't be that dated.
