House of Cards Season 3!

Just got a notification that Season 3 is starting Feb 27! Looks like the Netflix subscription will be kept on for a while. We had just been debating whether we'd mined that seam till there was nothing left to find.

Just saw Ep 1. Can someone remind me what happened to Doug at end of series 2. I remembered him being in some kind of accident, obviously, and was he sent to keep an eye on some girl who needed to be kept out of the way - did he fall for her, and discovered she was having a relationship with another woman, and was jealous? That's the bit I think I remember, but may have misremembered. But who was she, what was significant about her and what happened to her?

the girl was the one who set up peter russo in S1 - doug had to keep her out of the way as she could link russos death to frank
doug was taking her away to kill i think when she got loose and beat the shit out of him and ran away
