who did kill lucy in eastenders part 2!!!
Harverina · 19/02/2015 00:50

I also can't imagine him not knowing until this week - it's not a very nice way to treat the longest running cast member!

Jane is involved somehow isn't she. Not sure how!

GallicIsCharlie · 19/02/2015 00:50

I've just watched last night's, complete with fluffed lines, and am loving the way this story's being told! I can't stay up even longer reading the thread, but had to mark a place Grin Mind you, I watch on catch-up so will have to observe total media silence until the Beeb uploads it to iplayer. And you'll all KNOW by then!

Jane looked lovely in that dress. And I feel so sorry for Dot. She didn't kill Nick, he did it all by himself.

Ronnie heard Charlie blabbing about his ONS with Roxy, didn't he? You really don't want to let a ruthless psychopath know you cheated on them, even if you think they are in a coma. I reckon her eyes fluttering open, so cold & focused, was entirely deliberate. And a fab bit of acting.

I was thinking that too Gallic! WHY FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WOULD YOU TALK ABOUT THAT KIND OF THING IN FRONT OF HER?!! We all know Soap Opera Coma patients hear everything!

Tubbytimmy · 19/02/2015 00:57

Place marking

LikeABadSethRogenMovie · 19/02/2015 01:03

BeCool, I have a feeling that a lot of the original material from last year will get completely rewritten in a bid to make the murderer fit the crime!

jkdnanny · 19/02/2015 01:04

I felt a bit sorry for jo joyner actually. She hasn't been on EE for ages now(when did she leave?) and then her first scene back was a live scene. It had been a long time since she had seen the actors as anything other than themselves so it was an easy mistake to make.
Does that mean it has to be either jane or ian? Have they narrowed it down to just those two characters?
I guess whoever it is may not end up leaving as they might not report it to the police esp if its either jane or ian.

differentnameforthis · 19/02/2015 01:54

I think it was Cindy & Jane knows. That's what she married Ian, so she could raise Beth.

differentnameforthis · 19/02/2015 01:59

Ian didn't do it...he ran away & became homeless after Mandy didn't marry him.

Tanya - because Abby told her & Abby was fed up of the woman coming & going & being put to the bottom of the priority list. First Stacey, then Vanessa, then getting back with Tanya, then Kirsty, dealing with Lauren getting attention because of the alcoholism, then Lucy - it all became too much & Tanya 'sorted it'

Or Abi did it, thinking it was Lauren, as she was pretty fed up of her having all the attention re the alcoholism etc & Abby failing to get the grades she needed (I think it is odd that college has never been mentioned since she killed the dog)

differentnameforthis · 19/02/2015 02:02

Oh or Jane is setting up Cindy (she can tell the cops she knows where Lucy's phone is, because she saw Cindy hide them)

The more I think about it, the more I think Jane's ulterior motive is to raise Beth.

AGnu · 19/02/2015 02:30

Phew, finally caught up on all of this... I knew we'd need a new thread before we actually found out! Grin

For a moment after Adam-gate I wondered if I heard the voices wrong & it was Jane asking Tanya how her bloke is. The horror in Jo Joyner's eyes was enough to confirm the error though! Poor woman!

I can only think of 2 reasons why Jane would hide Bobby at Masood's - either she thinks one of the other Beale family members is the real murderer & is trying to protect him, with a view to collecting him after confronting them; or she's hiding him so she can tell everyone the truth about what Bobby did & beg them to keep it quiet too.

I think the "it wasn't there" could well refer to the house. I think we discussed that possibility back when she first said it, but that was before we knew she thought it was there. That doesn't explain the "you know" though, unless she thought Max did it. I guess we've discounted that as an option though, except for some level of culpability due to the head injury we saw.

I suspect Les was bailing their grandson out of prison. He got caught dealing yet again but Les doesn't want Pam to know. No doubt he'll put in an appearance tomorrow.

I love the idea that Phil was collecting his passport for Grant to use. I was just saying to DH earlier that it made no sense that Peggy came back just to shout at Dot!

Right, I've got to be up early tomorrow. I'm driving over an hour away so I can put the DC to bed at a friend's house. Her DH will be on baby-watch so we can be on uninterrupted EE-watch! Grin My final predictions are: either Bobby, as I've been saying for ages, or I can see some merit in the Ian-but-doesn't-know-it theory. I could imagine Ian & Lucy arguing again, he shoved her & either Jane or possibly Denise ushered him out, telling him to go for a drive or sleep with a prostitute & returned to the room expecting to see Lucy getting up but instead found her dead & covered it up to protect Bobby & Peter from having Ian going off the rails again. I'm not sure which theory I'd find less believable!

I'll try to be on for a live discussion tomorrow but just wanted to say thanks to everyone who's been discussing it since it happened. It's been fun having somewhere to chat about it! I'm starting to feel a bit sad now - like it's the end of an era! It'll be years before EE manages to get us filling up threads in just a matter of days again! I feel like we need a toast... Wine to EE! Grin I may be a little sleep deprived...

differentnameforthis · 19/02/2015 02:41

Phil knows Cindy took his money. Jay found out & told him, I think Phil still expected Jay to pay it back, but not a lot has been mentioned since, and I could have missed something!

Kathy - witness protection? Scared of Phil, so faked her own death?

Re Phil's money - Lucy could have threatened Cindy that she was going to give it to Phil, because Cindy outed her re drugs, Cindy & her fought, Lucy died. Which brings me back to what Jane married Ian.

Or, it could just have been that Cindy & Lucy fought because Cindy outed her re drugs.

Michelle went to America with Grant's son. Who no one knows about except Sharon, I believe.

I don't think it matters re the answer to Tanya's question. How many ways can Jane say "he's ok" in the short space of time they had before Cindy walks in?

thekitchenfairy · 19/02/2015 07:01

EE seems to be doing a lot of symbolism and refs to 1985. I watched Ep1 last night and have questions...bear with me...

What did Phil find out in prison?

What is the significance of the banana- squashed and the crown that Ian wore- Lots of Qs about Kathy coming back, but what about Pete? Ian's son is named after his dad... I am sure Pete used to call himself the king of Walford (banana crown) and handed out bananas or apples...

He died in a car crash with his girlfriend Rose but I don't recall a viewing of the body...Alfie was the villain who died in prison - and .roses husband did Phil find something out about Pete? Is he not dead at all witness protection?

Pete...Peter... Did Peter kill his sister- albeit accidentally? This is driving me nuts. Really enjoying this week but found the live bits a bit stilted. I may have to watch with DCs at 7:30- may be only way to watch in peace.

Or has Phil found out about the Cokers' crime inside and this will be revealed... Could all be red herrings and it still could be Les

VashtaNerada · 19/02/2015 07:19

Sorry if this was shared upthread, I haven't got time to read everything posted last night, but David Schnieder tweeted a rewrite of tonight's ep (it's a joke, not a spoiler don't worry!!) Grin

who did kill lucy in eastenders part 2!!!
youarekiddingme · 19/02/2015 07:32

I'm wondering if Phil has found out he isn't bens biological father? Therefore he isn't Ian's brother?

Or he met Rainie? Who knows something about that night?

I love the theory it's not there means the Beale house. We've seen the pictures and remember some were of her writing on her sofa but we couldn't work out where she was with the lamp by the window?

I still think the Cokers grandson is Danny and he's a potential suspect.

Cannot wait for tonight's. DS can go on his iPad for the hour and then put him to bed between that and the flashback and put the kettle on!

Fakebook · 19/02/2015 07:45

Happy reveal day everyone!

Groovee · 19/02/2015 07:47

I reckon it was Bobby and that Jane knows about it, hence why she whipped him off to live with her and sent him to Masood's

Kittymautz · 19/02/2015 08:04

F Phil wasn't Ben's biological father, then Ben would still be Ian's brother.

Footery · 19/02/2015 08:09

I still think she was killed on the common or somewhere nearby. We saw her getting off the bus in that area?

I'm going with Dean. Shall we have a final list before the reveal?

I'll be seriously disappointed if it turns out to have been an accident/ result of scuffle with Max. I want a big reveal with a nasty back story and a murderer that knew what they were doing!

Kittymautz · 19/02/2015 08:12

Right now, I think it's Denise.

SymphonyofShadows · 19/02/2015 08:14

I came here to check in but we are up to 10 pages already! Not everyone who lived there was in the room when Peter came back though, Denise was missing so it could be her.

Southeastdweller · 19/02/2015 08:18

Tonight's the night!

I'm still sticking with Cindy helped by Jane.

Southeastdweller · 19/02/2015 08:21

Tonight's the night!

AliceinWinterWonderland · 19/02/2015 08:22

Is it possible that Jane mistakenly thinks it's Ian, and went through with the wedding so she'd be well placed to be there to raise the kids? And then tonight will find out it wasn't Ian, but someone else, perhaps Peter? or Max? (and then be stuck with Ian! talk about a life sentence!!)
