Phew, finally caught up on all of this... I knew we'd need a new thread before we actually found out!
For a moment after Adam-gate I wondered if I heard the voices wrong & it was Jane asking Tanya how her bloke is. The horror in Jo Joyner's eyes was enough to confirm the error though! Poor woman!
I can only think of 2 reasons why Jane would hide Bobby at Masood's - either she thinks one of the other Beale family members is the real murderer & is trying to protect him, with a view to collecting him after confronting them; or she's hiding him so she can tell everyone the truth about what Bobby did & beg them to keep it quiet too.
I think the "it wasn't there" could well refer to the house. I think we discussed that possibility back when she first said it, but that was before we knew she thought it was there. That doesn't explain the "you know" though, unless she thought Max did it. I guess we've discounted that as an option though, except for some level of culpability due to the head injury we saw.
I suspect Les was bailing their grandson out of prison. He got caught dealing yet again but Les doesn't want Pam to know. No doubt he'll put in an appearance tomorrow.
I love the idea that Phil was collecting his passport for Grant to use. I was just saying to DH earlier that it made no sense that Peggy came back just to shout at Dot!
Right, I've got to be up early tomorrow. I'm driving over an hour away so I can put the DC to bed at a friend's house. Her DH will be on baby-watch so we can be on uninterrupted EE-watch!
My final predictions are: either Bobby, as I've been saying for ages, or I can see some merit in the Ian-but-doesn't-know-it theory. I could imagine Ian & Lucy arguing again, he shoved her & either Jane or possibly Denise ushered him out, telling him to go for a drive or sleep with a prostitute & returned to the room expecting to see Lucy getting up but instead found her dead & covered it up to protect Bobby & Peter from having Ian going off the rails again. I'm not sure which theory I'd find less believable!
I'll try to be on for a live discussion tomorrow but just wanted to say thanks to everyone who's been discussing it since it happened. It's been fun having somewhere to chat about it! I'm starting to feel a bit sad now - like it's the end of an era! It'll be years before EE manages to get us filling up threads in just a matter of days again! I feel like we need a toast...
to EE!
I may be a little sleep deprived...
