Just got back from a v. late lunch break with ds1 (while Spouse lectured). We are a bad influence on each other and ended up have a large piece of Cake each with a Brew for me and ginger beer for him. It's Friday, and the start of half-term, afterall Grin

Got to get back to work mode now. Several Friday afternoon tasks to hand: designing some posters, ordering some books, going through donations, nothing too taxing.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 13/02/2015 15:44

Hi Issy I'm the Swedish meatball. Welcome Smile

FancyFancy · 13/02/2015 15:45

Afternoon, I've been indulgent like issy today, Brew & Cake whilst catching up with the news from some of the mums from DS's class. Some interesting updates on the local schools's HT merry-go-round Grin.

Enormouse · 13/02/2015 15:50

I'm not a badass ww. Perish the thought, I'm on the preschool committee and I own a breadmaker.

FolknNorah · 13/02/2015 15:53

??

FolknNorah · 13/02/2015 15:57

mouse! I've been meaning to say hello to you for aaaages. I'm looking at making some dolls and if memory serves you showed us some crochet ninja.
Do you have any recommendations?

I bet you are ace on yer bike, will you be in a leather jumpsuit? Wink

Hi issy nice to meet you!
??????????????????

FancyFancy · 13/02/2015 16:01

Grin at mouse's definition of non-badassery

IssyStark · 13/02/2015 16:20

Ditto at mouse's defintion.

I have neither a breadmaker and stepped back when volunteers were required and thus the Spouse was lumbered bestowed a governship at the primary school. Does that mean I have badass potential Hmm

Baddz · 13/02/2015 16:23

I have a breadmaker.
somewhere

ChaiseLounger · 13/02/2015 16:25

Love milady's dream.

Thank you Apricot. I so like that site, haven't been on it for ages. Am off for another look hour now.

I thought Dh was out tonight, but it's actually Sunday.
Have poured myself to glass of wine and it's only 4 o'clock!!

Today I had the loveliest day. I drove to my mums and for my late birthday she paid for me to have an hour long facial. My skin feels fab. Then we went out to lunch and my meal was beyond delicious.

Looking forward to tonight. Have so missed Athos. Wonders if she can persuade Dh to let me watch it at 9pm.....

Enormouse · 13/02/2015 16:26

Are you thinking amigurumi norah?

No Mr Mouse is the one who likes leather. I have an armoured textile jacket and kevlar jeans with tcx street boots.

Enormouse · 13/02/2015 16:38

You're more badass than me issy. Mr Mouse was briefly treasurer, we were the reluctant power couple of the village.

Enormouse · 13/02/2015 16:41

It is very definitely not badass to have a full week of ROFL over calling each other 'my Lord treasurer' and 'lady Secretary' like we were in wolf hall.

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 13/02/2015 16:45

I'm having to sit on my hands to avoid tweeting a 'weapon' joke

FolknNorah · 13/02/2015 16:45

Yes probably mouse Grin

doesn't anyone like my ???
Sad

FancyFancy · 13/02/2015 16:49

Another total non-badass here, I'm the owner of a breadmaker & I'm a school governor. For a few years I was tea maker and Guardian of the Cake at a mums & toddler group.

Actually that last bit was fairly badass. Defending cake from marauding pre-schoolers requires 360 degree vision and a basilisk stare.

FancyFancy · 13/02/2015 16:52

Dooo iiittt sparks

I love your funny little black, er things norah, but I didn't know what they were & didn't want to betray my ignorance!

IssyStark · 13/02/2015 16:52

I shall definitely aim stay on your right side then (and arm myself with a mirror) fancy Grin

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 13/02/2015 16:52

Of course we do Norah ?

IssyStark · 13/02/2015 16:54

Depths of evil black hearts? Most excellent, I thought.

Baddz · 13/02/2015 17:00

I'm a badass.
People are quite surprised when they cross me

FancyFancy · 13/02/2015 17:01

Don't worry issy, you're quite safe unless you try to steal my cake.

Or try to get ahead of me in the Aramis queue.

IssyStark · 13/02/2015 17:03

Never fear fancy, I will leave Armais well alone (not enough of a tortured soul for me).

FolknNorah · 13/02/2015 17:03

Well, I never have been a governor or anything like it. My bread maker is atop the freezer so I never have to see it.
I have mastered the art of the 'I'm not interested in joining in with your bollocks' look at the school gate. There are times, when, if I don't see anyone I actually like, I manage not to speak to anyone.
This is good. The are some utter fuckwits where I live, they never left high school it would seem. Hmm
And, I managed to convey to The Toddler, with just a look 'get down off that chair, come here, sit on my lap and be quiet'

So, am I bad enough? Wink

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 13/02/2015 17:03

Oooh Bads Wink
