Am also taking ds2s friend in as her sibling is ill and am doing her mum a favour.

Today I will be mostly looking after ds1 and ironing.

Not sure about the tv elk, it looks as though you should be able to watch tv (like having Freeview) if you have a working aerial, but not sure about recording. But maybe some time in the old place on your own to watch it means it's better to assume you can't record?

Just spent fifteen minutes or so chatting with new neighbour. 45-50ish divorced man. Handy with a paintbrush so useful around the house - well he should be - he's been decorating downstairs for the past two weeks. Friendly - not bad looking.

How can I get DS and DH out of the house on Friday night for a peaceful and interruption-free live watch? Answers on the head of a pin.... (because it's just not going to happen)

Also am in trauma, because I'm going to miss two episodes while on hols after next week. Might catch 20th if it's on at friend's house. Otherwise will have to have massive catch-up when we're back. Unless one of them is a break in transmission.

Would they be persuaded by a 'boys night in' helen? As long as it's in a different room to you, of course. Junk food & crap film/tv of their choice, indoor picnic/midnight feast (from 9-10pm ). Reward them with Haribo if they manage it without disturbing you.
