Just catching up on the first episode and heard Stanley Tucci say in the home counties, pampas grass growing in the garden is a sign that swingers live there

yes app apparently well known back in the key party days. My Ils used to have it in the front garden of their house, worryingly

I must put some wind chimes or pampas grass outside my house. I quite fancy the sheriff popping along for a 'cuppa'...

A well-known signal in the 70s/80s.
My mum planted up our front garden, it was all green grass then a huge clump of pampas grass in the middle. I have seen photos of the parties but she still denies it.

Once a burglar broke into our house using a big bunch of the pampas grass lit with a lighter to see by. It set fire to the curtains and sofa. It was only because my brother was sleeping downstairs that it didn't end very badly.
