So I am watching the WW for the umpteenth time (it's my stand by 'get me through a period of lots of flights and train journeys' viewing), I'm sure I know all the plots and probably most of the dialogue but one thing still baffles me....

...how did they catch the guy who gave the signal to the two gunmen at Rosslyn (In the Shadow of Two Gunmen)? Gina has told them right after the shooting that there was a signal, the third guy, we get told that the two shooters had been taken down and killed within seconds of the attack but as far as I can tell they NEVER BLOODY EXPLAIN HOW THEY FOUND THE THIRD GUY WHO GAVE THE SIGNAL.

Or have I missed something completely...

Didn't they track him through his membership to "West Virginia White Pride"? There were only 49 members or so (including the 2 dead ones) so easier to narrow it down from there...

I guess that makes sense, given every law enforcement officer in the USA was presumably looking for them it would be fairly easy - it just always feel so deus ex machin-ey (god knows how that would decline!). I know that the whole two parter is about 'will Josh recover' and 'how they got the band together in the first place' and the shooting is very much just the framing device (and also of course a bloody amazing s1 cliff hanger) but I would have liked to know how they worked out it was him and not the other 46 members, how they found him in that particular diner at 3am etc.

As an aside, I didn't watch s1 when it was first broadcast but I'd heard such good things we sat down to pick it up from s2 when that started - by God those first two episodes were hard to follow. The writing and pace got me hooked though and we decided it was worth sticking with it while we worked out who the bloody hell was who!
