Did anybody see this last night? In this latest incarnation it's presented by the now ubiquitous Tom Kerridge. Angela Hartnett was a guest chef. It was all about cooking with cheaper ingredients. She made a custard tart. She described the ingredients & Tom asked her if the cost included vanilla. She said yes, vanilla extract. Then used a vanilla pod.The whole show was a right shambles & her pastry making was lamentable. And don't get me started about shoving her dogs face in a bit of kitchen roll so it could eat some leftovers.
It made me long for the old days of F&D when AWT was the chef & Jilly Goolden educated us about wine.
